Is this okay? Is it something that all minorities should have? What about religious minorities like atheists? In which categories (skin color, heritage, disability, etc...) should minorities recieve special attention?

How can archaic mythological concepts developed from early civilization be revamped and rewritten and presented as viable truth? Why do modern believers pick and choose pieces of ancient writings, pretend other ancient writings are not valid, and create a belief system based on something engineered and re-engineered by men over the ages?

I have heard legends and stories that there is evidence that the Earth is either Hollow or Football stadium shaped. Many ancient cultures seem to believe it certainly wasn't spherical. I have also heard of expeditions near the North pole where explorers would find warm, tropical-like lands populated with mythic beasts and peoples of archaic lore. Shamballa, Atlantis, Agartha, Thule, etc., all could be distant lands beyond our maps. Obviously, this sounds very farfetched given our knowlegable scientific community, but I just need some clarification or more theories.

but when a known atheist we all loved dies, Steve Irwin, so many are unwilling to admit that according to the very same beliefs they use to warn me, that he's brimstone fodder being tortured for all eternity right now?

Is it that they realize how horribly unjust and cruel that would make their god and when faced with a real world application of their nonsense, they find it distasteful? Is it only acceptable when it's a vague threat, but not when it's a real world application?

I have become good friends with a person with obsessive compulsive disorder. She can go off on people that are unfair and self-serving. At first I was concerned that she would get angry at me for telling her that perhaps her behavior was overboard. Well, guess what? She listens to me and I listen to her opinions also. She has been a good friend to me.
We both live in the same apartment building and she fought for her civil rights to have a service dog. She won, for the simple fact that the manager of my apartment was violating people's rights.
Now people are associating me with her because we hang out. She has remembered my birthday when other's did not. She always takes time out to listen to me. Other people in the apartment building--which have never given me the kind of respect and friendship that this woman does--now are judging me. My thinking is that I can be friends with whoever I want and they can go to hell! I'm asking you if you would continue being friends or?

i hate being here.. i hate it when people ask me to do..work! what am i gonna do? =T i stay because i've been here for 3 years, am fairly comfortable, know my duties in and out, my boss is EXTREMELY good to me.... is it worth moving? i do not like the industry i'm in...and i'm not guaranteed as good of a boss....stuck in a rut :(

i recently found a white piece of cloth with blood on it. also a few coins, a red thread wrapped up as a bundle in a gray cloth outside my house.

i fear it is affecting my dad's practice (he's a doctor). maybe it is another doctor who can't see my father do so wellwho is doing all this. how do i minimize/finish the effects of this magic? please please help me!

Or in your own personal life? Is there someone or some group that's always trying to make you or everyone feel guilty for something? Why do you think they the way that they are? How do you deal with the guilt they want to dump on you?

Mothers? The Catholic Church? Jewish Mothers? Religious Fanatics? Big Sisters? Alcoholic Parents? War Supporters? Your Boss at Work? Political fanantics? Or whoever.

Hopefully, this will not stir up any old wounds that anyone may have about any of their personal relationships, as that is not its intent, but it is instead perhaps a chance to find a consensus on the subject. I posted this question in this section because it can virtually be a spiritual burden on a person to have to deal with this and this section usually generates some of the most interesting responses.
