My religous friend thinks that the Bible says we're going to have a nuclear war with China.

It doesn't make any sense. If I'm not good enough to get into Heaven, then why not just leave me here? Or compassionately extinguish my existence? What is the purpose of keeping people around so they can be tortured for all eternity? Is this God's idea of fun?

That's not a flippant question. Thomas Aquinas wrote that one of the joys of Heaven is looking down on the sufferings of those in Hell. Is your "God" really that much of a sicko? Will YOU be enjoying my suffering? (Don't tell me there's a way I can get into Heaven-- I DON'T WANT TO GO!)

I think that atheists want to invent some kind of telescope with a powerful magnification that lets them see beyond space.

And if they see God winking at them and saying: Peace, Son of mine.

They wouldn't believe in Him anyway.

While browsing the wonderfulness that is Google, I happened upon a so-called Church of Jedi! The site is down, but through cached sites, I found a list of their ideals and such. It seems pretty interesting, and very calming!

If ever when I am an old woman, I decide that learning everything about everything is too much for me, and I need to stick to one religion to keep myself happy, I might just choose the way of the Jedi! (Which, oddly enough, seems very similar to the ideals and ways of Buddism. ;) Hah!)

Don't say "Oh we don't pray to her, we pray through her" because "Hail Mary" is praying to her. But why do you Catholics pray to Mary when Mary wasn't even Catholic?

I am a Christian, and I have read many hours in the bible, but I can't help but have mixed feeling about this.

I see where in the bible it says,
if you lay down your life for your brother , you life will be saved.

If you love your life, you will lose your life.

Do do unto others, as you would want done unto you.

So I am wondering if giving blood, organs, is helping ones in need, or is it being weak in the faith that Jesus can heal them?

I once was going to be a organ donar but I want to make sure it not wrong, and I have read and spent time in the bible, but still have mixed feeling about it..

I would like 2 start with a chorus from a song produced by the Supertones.

With that in mind Yes God is loving God. But the second commandment says have no other God's before me. That means do not make a God to suit yourself. If u want 2 know God look in the Bible considering God has never changed all of David's and Abrahams and Jacob's experiences and the God that they knew is the same God who we worship today. With that in mind Do not say u truly know God and support abortion, or homosexuality, And fool yourself into thinking that God is ok with that. Do not make a God 2 suit yourself.He is loving but he does hate sin.In fact it is because of his love for u he hates sin.A parent will advise a child 2 not touch the stove because it is hot.God knows what's good 4 us

Just a fun little survey. When you sleep, is it on your left side, right side, back or tummy? Do you always sleep in the same position? Is there one position that you just can't sleep in?

And do you sleep on the left side or right side of your bed? Or right smack in the middle? Or how about diagonally?

For me, I usually sleep on my side (either is fine) and sometimes on my back -- but NEVER on my tummy. And I sleep on the left side of my bed. My bf sleeps in the middle. The right side of the bed is unused.

i know that christianity loses members everyday because of the hate of some of the fanatics out there these days. so seriously is christianity a dying religion or do you think it will last for the next 2000 years? i would hope not myself and besides the fanatics are trying to push for a american theoracy which would be the end of millions of peoples lives if it ever happens.
