Personally, I don't feel comfortable with my picture floating all over the world on the internet. To me, it's a last ditch effort to maintain some sort of privacy while being involved in an everchanging internet-savvy society.

People speak more freely from behind the anonymity of an avatar. Maybe they don't want to be judged on appearances...most people don't look like models and don't want people making fun of them. And others may just like their privacy.

I'm lazy

that and I'm so beautiful I'd make you wet your shorts

besides, if I did a real picture of what my avatar is doing, I'd probably get arrested ( Grown men with one hand inside the pocket of their trenchcoats with a pug at a kiddie pool is a little unsettling)

ugly people ... I don't know. I don't have any pictures of me, and i like the avatar looks cool. personal preference. Like yours, it's hard to tell what it is, so what's the point of having a picture then?
