Human beings are animals too. Animal rights for all includes rights for humans. Don't like meat? Don't eat it. Are you going to take away fish from my diet too because you don't approve? Fish contains omega-3 fatty acids essential to brain functions. If you get to tell others what to do then they have the right to tell you what to do. It may be distasteful, but what other people eat is their decision. BTW: Chicken noodle soup contains chemicals that fight viral infections. You may not realize this, but when you place animals above humans you are guilty of being a "species-ist", which is something I'm guessing you are concerned with in the first place. Put up some money for a replacement for animal testing, like a computer model. Create a reward for it. Eventually the whole world will probably "go veggie", but to make it illegal only invites the creation of a black market in it. I'm going to give liberty to a hungry grizzly bear in your apartment - the Constitution wasn't written for animals other than human beings. You need to rethink your position.

It nature...we just happen to be at the top of the food chain. Animals are meant to be eaten by other animals, it's a fact of life. I think you are repugnant for trying to change human nature. Do you eat vegetables?? They were alive once too you know.
(BTW, the constitution says nothing about four score and seven years ago...that was Lincoln in the Gettysburg address...get your facts straight)

Get a clue. You're not quoting from the Constitution. And that document is concerned with the rights of HUMANS. Cows can go write their own constitution if they like. Go back to ninth grade civics class and pay attention this time.

Sorry I don't agree. I like my steaks, hamburgers, ham, pork steaks, and fried chicken! Besides, I'm a Christian and I believe that God has given us permission in the Bible, to eat meat. In the very beginning, God said that humans have authority over and can do what they like to animals (except of course, being cruel to them, that is wrong) I also know close family members who are now suffering from being vegetarians. Their bodies aren't working properly now. Meat is a necessary to be healthy.

We should all just start eating up all the plants in the world so there will be no more rainforests or beautiful pine and aspen covered mountains. When all the plants are gone and they are no longer producing oxygen everything on this planet will die and look like the moon. We should all start be cannibals and start eating you little nimbypimbys and save our children from idiots like you.

no , we should just ban adult meat , everybody should be required to eat baby animals only , they are much more delicious and tender . from tiny baby cows to baby deer which is my favorite . maybe if we get them right when they are born we can have an entire calf on one plate with the head and everything , put an apple in the mouth and that is a gourmet meal

Totally disagree. Eating meat is within the natural, and essential, order of the universe. Without doing so, animal populations would die off anyway due to overpopulation leading to lack of food and habitat.

Just for your general education, the thing you quote: "four score and seven years ago" is not in the constitution it is in Lincoln's Gettysburg address.

Do you really want to have cops patrolling this?
Is it worth paying your tax money to enforce?
Are you willing to imprison folks who are caught eating meat?
remember prohibition how they outlawed alcohol
and everyone did it anyway only illegal and under the table and
it was not good so they re-legalized it.

That's liberty for people to eat what they choose and not to have their liberty violated by animal rights fanatics. Are you going to make the cats, dogs, bears, fish etc. only eat vegatables also?
