I would like 2 start with a chorus from a song produced by the Supertones.

"Have u ever held in doubt what this life is all about have u questioned all these things that seem important 2 us DO U REALLY WANNA KNOW OR ARE U A LITTLE SCARED AND AFRAID THAT GOD IS NOT EXACTLY WHAT U HAVE HIM BE"

With that in mind Yes God is loving God. But the second commandment says have no other God's before me. That means do not make a God to suit yourself. If u want 2 know God look in the Bible considering God has never changed all of David's and Abrahams and Jacob's experiences and the God that they knew is the same God who we worship today. With that in mind Do not say u truly know God and support abortion, or homosexuality, And fool yourself into thinking that God is ok with that. Do not make a God 2 suit yourself. He is loving but he does hate sin.In fact it is because of his love for u he hates sin.A parent will advise a child 2 not touch the stove because it is hot.God knows what's good 4 us

I will first stat that I am a Christian.

Okay. You want people to not make a god to suit ourselves and yet that is what YOU are doing!

You put words into his mouth. You say he is loving but strict. You say he feels this way and that way. You sir are a very rude person to think you have the right to speak for God in such a way. Is he not the alpha, the omega? Don't you think HE can speak for himself?

Why are you trying to make a claim about who God is by using a SONG?

Are we not made in Gods image? If that is that case then how could one not also come to the conclusion that he is then, to some degree, in our image?

As for the bible, do you not realize that the bible was written by men who were INSPIRED by God? What does inspiration mean? Well it does not not mean dictation. If a song inspire me to write a poem, I will not write the words of that song verbatim, I will instead write a poem with the ideas, or the mood the song.

A song inspired you to write this little blurb, yet you did not simply write the song and leave it be. That, my friend, is what inspiration is. It is not dictation, is is not word for word. It is acting on a feeling you gain from an object, a place, or an idea.

Further more do you not realize that the bible has been translated by men? That our 'modern' translations are nothing more then translations of translations?

Jesus taught us about the living word of God. What is that? The bible? NO. The bible is dead and lifeless. It is a chronicle of the Christian religion. A cumulation of stories, facts, theory, and theology.

WE are the living word of God. You say people fool themselves into thinking certain things are okay. You fool yourself into thinking that it is better to follow the ideas of dead men word for word. We are at least asking questions and seeking answer. Is that not what the biblical heroes do? Did they not challenge their brothers, their governments, the most well followed laws of the land?

I think it is better to learn from those before me, and to find a path among those who are livening. That is a living word. This post it the living word of God. I 'follow' a religion that is living, breathing, full of life and spark and innocence and question and adventure. We are the living word of God. If you Don't accept that then you only prove my point that you follow dead men, and a dead religion.

My darling one, people have been making God into an image to suit themselves since time immemorial. One person's Diety is another person's anathema.
Your God may know what's "good for us" but I think I'll keep my idea of a Diety. Mine's a lot happier and likes to laugh. They also can take a joke. That's really a good thing in a Creator-God.
Blessings on you.

I believe in and worship God! You on the other-hand I am having issues with. I am beginning to doubt that you really exist. I think you are the product of some twisted imagination. Please do go back to church and learn more before you come here setting your self up as our judge.
Thanks
Randy

The things you read on the bible and the doctrines were VOTED, so people already wrote a bible that suits them. You just follow the beliefs of people who already have a suited god. Now, not only you are being misled and believe in a suited god, you also lack the ability of making choices and you follow other people's sin like a sheep without realising it.
you can ***** off now and shove the bible deep up your a$$.
No lube, its a sin.

It sounds as if the one who is Conflicted is you. Continuation of posting repetitively regarding religion or spiritual issues will result in a report, eventually I'm sure...if someone hasn't already.

Please do not post as many questions all at one time. Give it a rest, unless your purpose is simply to harras....then you know what you are doing and I shouldn't have to tell your Mommy what a bad boy you're being.

I believe in God and I also believe that he has a purpose in creating all living things - good/bad makes no difference - he created them out of love - what they do once they are created is up to them!@

God is a culmination of many superstitions.
God is a figment of human imagination.

I think it is arrogant and dangerous for any one to try to define God or God's intentions or purpose.
