Good-natured or twisted, whichever way you see it...

To everyone who visit this section. You can say your denominations if you like that’s up to you. I know people have something in their belief that is a positive thing, please share.

In your beliefs what is the good part of your beliefs you wish to share that people don’t know about?
If we all look at the good parts of how we believe wouldn't that be better than putting heads all the time...

Don’t slam each other or compare who is better than whom. Don’t say your beliefs are better than the other. Just shares a good part of that belief that makes you feels good about yourself....

Just throwing that question out there for everyone be you a Christian, an Athiest, or what ever religion you believe or choose to not believe.

By the way this is your chance to really explain yourself and show what kind of person you really are, so if you coose to look a fool then answer with a foolish answer. Lets all try and be serious so we all know where we're really coming from common sense wise.

Thank you and have a great day

Doesn't it seem like a lot of kids are using Yahoo Answers to get strangers to do their homework for them? How many teachers have had to sit through a description of The Battle of Waterloo, as written by britneyrocks64?
Now, I may be dating myself, but I remember the days when homework was a pain and you had to go to the library and actually look something up, and read a real book. Do they exist anymore? Do kids even know what the Dewey Decimal system is? Your thoughts?

I define truth as something that is absolutely true. When people say that there is no such thing as absolute truth, and what they say about not being able to know if anything is truth, is true, then how can people make a statement? It's self-contradictory. I don't restrict it to the Bible. I just chose the Bible as a example. You say that it's impossible to know if anything is true. So I guess that means that there is no such thing as science? We know the earth is round because proven scientific testing. There are many things that have been proven to be true through scientific testing in laboratories. And many things have been proven false as well. People say religion is restrictive. In what way? Maybe people who say this just don't like guidelines to live life by. I would consider the belief in evolution as a religion. As far as I understand, religion is just a set of beliefs and morals that one holds to. It can involve deity, or not. It can be the Bible, or the Humanist Manifesto.

If there was a test for love 1 Corinthians 13 would be it. If you are in love with someone right now, ask yourslef if that person fits the description of love based on these verses.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13

Oh yeah, Byt the way 1 John 4: 16 says that "God is Love" and Romans 5: 8 says that "God demonstartes His love for us in this: that while we were still sinners Christ died for us."

How sick is this quote from the Bible. Yes I know, the Bible is full of sick violent evil traumatic quotes full of hatred, but is this evil or what?

Matthew 10:37 - "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me".

What decent person (human, divine, almighty or whatever fantasy you care to dream up) would ever ask someone to love them more than they love their parents or children.

Tell me religious people, if you love your parents or children more than anything else, are you committing a sin? Or, are you going to lie and say you love some unknown, unproven fantasy entity more than them?

My wife does. I am about as American as it gets and a Catholic and my wife is a beautiful Egyptian and she is a Muslim. Let me go another step, we live in a 90 % Muslim country in the Middle east. My wife does not wear a Hijab (Veil) in public and she has long beautiful hair. When we go out on the weekend, she wears everything from tight jeans to mini skirts with heels. She is with the man she loves, she is extremely loyal as most Arabic woman and she does not care if other Muslims have a problem with her appearance. She has all the freedom in the world and thats why she loves me so much.I am blessed by God or Allah or whomever. PS...Her family and friends love me too.
