If there was a test for love 1 Corinthians 13 would be it. If you are in love with someone right now, ask yourslef if that person fits the description of love based on these verses.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13

Oh yeah, Byt the way 1 John 4: 16 says that "God is Love" and Romans 5: 8 says that "God demonstartes His love for us in this: that while we were still sinners Christ died for us."

The verses describing love have always been some of my favorite. If only people could love that much! I would say it would be rare indeed, especially in this day, for someone to love someone else this much, except maybe a parent to a child.

Well the truth is no one is ever really going to love u like that except God, not matter how much someone says they love u.

I know that God truly loves me because He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for me. And I know Jesus loves me because He died and shed His blood for me. Love is mostly shown in actions more than words. So if you SEE love shown to you, that is better than just words. Anyone can SAY they love you, but true love is shown in how they treat you.

I agree. Love is not about feeling attracted to someone. It is not based upon what they do for you. I think it has more to do with what you would give for them and what they would give for you. Love is really about sacrifice. Love is what brings us out of ourselves and transforms us into the people we were born to be.

Jesus Christ demonstrated the best love: sacrificial and unselfish. Who couldn't love someone who loved you like that?
