Just throwing that question out there for everyone be you a Christian, an Athiest, or what ever religion you believe or choose to not believe.

By the way this is your chance to really explain yourself and show what kind of person you really are, so if you coose to look a fool then answer with a foolish answer. Lets all try and be serious so we all know where we're really coming from common sense wise.

Thank you and have a great day

i guess it is the mere thought of having someone be different that is challenging... its hard to accept the different unless your open to it
I'm a Lutheran and I've got friends that are Muslim, Atheist, catholic etc so i'm comfortable with the topic of religion
Also respect is a two way street you have to respect to get respect in return

I personally respect everyone's beliefs. In general everyone that agrees with my first statement, will not necessarily agree with other individuals spiritual or practical beliefs.
I think the world would be much better in getting along despite are many differences, but not stereotyping, judging a particular group, based on the actions of a few, resorting to violence as some religions endorse to spread their beliefs on others, etc.
Lastly but not least people who most of the time act foolish and/or say foolish things especially in regard to things that are suppose to be serious are emotionally scarred in some way, use that as a defensive mechanism to hide their inner feelings, and far from wanting to know the real Truths in life because rights and wrongs have been reversed, or in others words their conscious has been seared.

I would have to say I am for the good of man not the good of A MAN. I do not believe in a god and I feel people are being scammed out of money and their life's.

A scam don't get any respect from me. As long as people are taking from people using a type of brainwashing to get money and power I will never show any respect at all. It is wrong and anyone involved in such a SCAM as religion should be jailed for the loss of life in the world and every brainwashed person an made to pay back every dollar that was taking.

Respect goes to the respectful, not the people who scam.

I have found Christians to be the worst at respecting the religion of others.

I was raised in a Christian family, and when I converted to Judaism, even 30 years later, my family and all their friends were ''at me'' asking how I could ever deny Jesus.

That brings up another point. More Christians have asked me why Jews do not believe in G-d. They do!!! There is only one
G-d. G-d is G-d. Do they realize how silly this question sounds?

Respect is one thing, but allowing someone to spread falsehoods is another. No one has to be disrespectful while expressing their concerns about certain doctrines. Every doctrine is either true or false. When you run across false teaching, you have several obligations. Every Christian is to "taste their own words" to season their speech with grace, so they CAN be able to answer any man who would ask about the hope seen within a Christian. We do this with fear and trembling before a mighty God who is both loving and vengeful. We are expected to standfast against false teachings with love, humbleness of mind, and meekness of spirit.

Sometimes it might be better to define what is NOT required of any of us....one of those things is the freedom to abstain from any religion we deem to be false. We are not required to participate in these types of things, and we certainly are permitted to say we disagree. WE cannot unify with falsehoods.

I think the bottomline is HOW you choose to disagree. You can be disagreeable and cause the biggest stir, or you can be loving and kind, yet firm in your own convictions.

No matter how kind and firm you attempt to be, there will be some who will accuse you of disrespect just for opening your mouth. One thing, respect for another is NOT hallmarked by participation in their views or enabling them to continue.

I do not expect people to respect my beliefs, I do however expect them to respect my right to have them. I don't expect people to always agree with what I say, matter of a fact, a lot don't, I'm sure. But, everyone here, is here because they choose to be, and can leave if they want to. They don't have to look at, answer, or ask any question they don't want to. So, with that said, everyone can respect the right to be different and do not have to be offensive. We can say what we want, but say it with some dignity and self respect. God Bless!!

People wan't their beliefs to be superior to everyone elses.
In doing so they close off their minds to more learning.
Think about the pharases that called Jesus a liar. The kingdom
of heaven would have come about 2000 years ago if the Jewish
leaders had opened their minds and not turned a blind eye to something fresh and new.

I believe you have to lead by example. Part of my belief in the Lord is sharing my beliefs, but I never "force" them on others. I also don't insult the beliefs of others with rude remarks or statements. It may be insulting that I believe so strongly in my Lord, but I cannot help that. I do accept the fact that others do not and will not always make the same choice I made.

i think in the Bible there is a passage where we are asked to smile at other religions, i might be wrong so you may need to do some research, i think i read it a long time ago. If it is in the Bible i guess God means we should be more accepting of reality. It reminds me of the wonderful prayer or quote:

"Lord, grant me the grace to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference, Amen

I don't expect understanding, nor do I condem UNLESS I am being preached to, called a sinner, being condemned, or other nasty things that many "holy people" here do. No one has the right to judge another person by their beliefs...judge not lest ye be judged. And, personally, I stand by the line, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone. " Good luck
