So Adamizer, presuming you were a girl wouldn't you find this morally wrong to think of yourself over the baby especially if the baby was 100% ok?

Ok lets change the boundary lines, lets say it was life threatening for you and it was 100% poven that your baby will only ever be in a vegtable state?

Personally I support a woman's right to choose, and in these scenarios I would support my wife if she wanted an abortion.

If her life was in danger, I would insist on an abortion. My wife's life is more precious to me than a potential person the size of a peanut.

As far as the disability question goes, there are several verses in the bible that basically say that a life of suffering is worse than not living at all.

If this is a theorectical exercise, please step back and ask yourself, is the answer so important as to take up everyone's time? If it is real, I would advise abortion. There is no way to justify a life of absolute misery to a chld, and that is what you would be doing, no matter what your intentions are, religion or not. Perhaps you should ask this of people who have severe deformity ...they are in a better place to give an answer. AS for the life threatening part, only the person who's life was threatened can give an honest answer..I am not in that place, and I cannot give a meaningful answer in any way.

I think you and your partner would have to make that decision together after much thought and prayer. I personally would not want to risk my life for a pregnancy; I can get pregnant again. I would also consider the quality of life for the child and its family. I have seen how families can be torn apart by just one disabled child. Myself, I would termnate the pregnancy and try again - but this has to be a decision on which both of you agree.

I hope this is just hypothetical!

No I wouldn't. I had an abortion once and swore to never do it again. It scarred me for life. Not to mention the father of the baby was a big Loser.

But I do believe in things happening for a reason. I wouldn't be here with my two little girls today ya know?

No. Pray and trust that you and your child will be cared for. This is already your baby and you can never undo this decision, so you must think it over seriously. Abortion is not condoned by the Church even in the case of impregnation during a rape, so your obligation to this child is to bring it into the world. Besides, I know many people whose parents were told this and they came out just fine (non-Christians).

Well since I'm a boy, i don't think that that is likely, but if i were a girl, i would if it was dangerous to me, but not if the child is disabled. And people saying it's murder, HUNTING IS MURDER TOO!! but no one protests about that.

To answer your question, nope. I'd rather kill every person on the planet to save an animal or myself.

If it's life threatening, "yes". I volunteer as a Special Olympic coach and even the participants with severe disabilities deserve a chance at life. The love and laugh just like me. They inspire more than anyone I have ever met.

I would not. I could not end the life inside of me. I know that it was put there for a purpose and I could not takes its life. By the way I am Gnostic Christian.

No. Why should that baby have to die? I mean there are tons of people who are disabled--so should we just go kill them all? No, we shouldn't. If having the baby would be life threatening to me I would still have it. Ever heard the phrase "I love you so much I'd die for you?" Anyone who would kill their child because it would be potentially harmful to themselves obviously didn't love their child that much.

Not all Christians oppose abortion. (As soon as I read the first five words, I realized the question was NOT for me, but I just needed to point that out.)
