to buy pesticide ladden food from WalMart?
don't you think it is cheaper and more authentic to just grow the food yourself?

Ok, but you still need money to buy the land, and the seeds, and a place to live. Unless you're recommending we return to the stone age. Not all modern conveniences are useless, and food at a store enables someone to spend all day working on a cure for cancer, instead of focusing primarily on subsidence style living.

Frightening to think about growing my own food ... I've killed a cactus, batchelor plant, and somehow I can't get rid of dandy lions in my yard.

I should get a job, even if I hate it, because I need to hire my lawn service, pay for electricity, water, trash services, cable tv, internet, and phone (although I've ditched the cell) ... car gas doesn't bug and I don't use much, but warmth during cold winter is necessary.

Money is also great to get me into the moives, amusement parks, and gets me new roller-blades (saves gas).

Giggle ... the though of me growing food is crazy ... giggle.

Most people dont have the knowlege, time, or land to grow their own food anymore. We are not an agrarian society anymore. You should open your eyes and not ask stupid questions.
