I liked Colin C's answer, "All the great world religions-Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, etc.-do more good than harm. Unfortunately, some people take some aspects of these religions and use them to spread hate and intolerance.

So, I would never want to eliminate any religion. If the narrow-minded people of each religion, say, moved to a remote island somewhere, I wouldn't miss them much."

If you were to take away one religion it would affect everything that had happened after the fact. Things that we have learned from or got stronger from, or the next religion that came from the first religion. If any one religion was taken away....what would have become of those people who followed that religion.

Judism. If the Jews never existed, then Christianity would never be because it was spawned from the Jewish faith. Secondly, the whole dawning of monotheism might have never caught on because the Jews were the first to create this new belief in only one deity.

Islam, Christianity, and it's many divisions are harmful to our world because they make God so personal that their beliefs are imposed on the rest of the population. History may have not been so bloody if it hadn't been this way. On the other hand, polytheism was a mess of a faith because it involved so many gods that you might find yourself praying non-stop to every single god.

If only one religion could have existed, it would definenlty be Buddisum. The religion based on self-discovery, acceptance, and nirvana from within.

If I could have my way none of the religions would exist.
Except I do believe Jehovah's Witnesses are the true religion.
Hopefully one day that will be the only religion.
They don't believe in fighting and that would end war.
They are the only ones who refuse to support any government or contribute in any way to war or fighting.
Call them a cult or what ever you want but at least they don't kill anybody.
