of the Bible?

I'm only asking to try to learn something about Catholicism. Would a Sunday Sermon be as likely to refer to one of the deutero-canonical books as it would be to refer to one of the other books of the Bible? Are Catholics generally very familiar with them?

so i know people who use the toothpick in public places and even at resturants...i think its weird. Alot of times i see them cover their mouth while they use it to pick out their teeth...it is gross especailly when your still eating. When is it a right time to use a toothpick? And can u use it whenever.....

I just read a reply that said Jehovah Witnesses do not believe Jesus is the son of God...That is so very wrong I believe he is the son of god and I believe he died for our sins ..so before you speak are type. Please know your religion as a practicing Jehovahs witness I know this for a fact.

My friend and I go to the same college together but, we are taking separate classes. Classes started last week so, I had to buy books. My friend's best friend offered my a ride home. I'm taking a lot of classes so, I was carrying four bags of books with me. I was supposed to meet my freind and her best friend near their class when it finished. So, I did that when struggling to hold four bags full of heavy books. My friend had to go to the Admissions and Records office to do something. So, we walked there. Then, we walked to the car. Neither my friend or her best friend offered to help me with the bags. They saw I was struggling with them and it was about 90 degrees outside. I know it is partially my fault not to assert my needs and say something. But, do you think what they did was rude?

Let's look at your own book of mythology shall we?
In Matthew 7:7 Jesus himself says the following;
Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

No conditions, no warnings, no limits.
Here is another;
Mark 11:24 says;
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Again, there are no conditions or limits. Just ask and you get your wish.
So, if this is the case, why has there NEVER been an amputee healed? Not so much as a finger replaced with prayer?
Why do you think that is?

If you've ever read my questions before, you know who my sister Dorothy is.

She's in the house. She's pregnant. She's hear with her boyfriend. And she's here infront of her husband, who she hasn't divorced yet. Her boyfriend called her his wife.

Make her leave. Please.

I need to do something to get my head off of this.

How dare she get pregnant before a divorce! How dare she leave her children for drugs! How dare she get pregnant, knowing the child will be born with some disability because of her drug abuse! How dare she come in this house, and say to her three year old daughter and two year old son that she loves them!?

... my heart and head hurts... why won't she go already? The air here feels thick...

... somebody, make her go, I want to scream at her, but, if I do, she'll beat the crap out of me...

... help...

I got married a year ago and my mother-in-law is a Jehovah's witness. I was raised Catholic and my hubby was raised Jehovah's witness for a couple of years but he was never baptized. When we have children how do we go about teaching them about religion without choosing one religion over the other?? Do you think it will be an obstacle later on when the issue is present??

I keep having dreams of either myself or my kids getting hit by cars. I don't know if the impact ends in death.I see a flash of light when its me getting hit. And it's always me trying to grab my kids but always not catching them in time when its the car hitting them. What could it possibly mean?
