It was first recognized in the 1920's, but didn't actually exist until 1947 when they got their nation handed to them on a silver platter, and it didn't dominate the Jewish world until recently, where now all Jews are zionists.

Reconized? I don't believe it was ever "reconized," I don't think anything was ever "reconized."
