According to the Old Testement, it is a sin. You are not to consult fortune tellers, sooth sayers, ect. This was even punishable by death.

I don't know if it is a sin.... but thinking about it.... I believe that God told the people in the old testament not to go to people who look into the future and if I am correct then horoscopes are a form of doing just that.
I believe what the bibles says in Joshua 1:8 (my words) when I think on the His words at all times and speak His words at all times and do as He says then I will have a prosperous life and I will have success.
That is "horoscope" enough for me

Horoscopes are a type of superstition and can occasionally be occult. It's definitely a concern if you *believe* that they really predict the future. Now most of the time a horoscope is not written under the influence of demons. Horoscope writers use vague phrases that basically could apply to anyone in any situation. Looking at them for entertainment is a waste of time. But it's probably harmless as long as you recognize what horoscopes really are and don't believe you can really predict the future through them. Still, don't waste your time with it.

horoscopes can be looked at for entertainment but when u start believing in that kinda thing, it'll be very ridiculous. to prove that, even many different people who writes horoscopes for other people, portray completely different things for the same horoscope. they just make money off that thing and write what peole want them to say. so it's not sinful to look a horoscope, just don't get influenced by what it tells u coz u alone can determine what ur life is about.

It is fortune telling so it is a sin. We would want to "turn away from what is bad," ie sinful and thus not look at the horoscopes at all.

Hello friend,
You ask a very relevant question.
Horoscopes by nature are an attempt to take a glimpse into the future and possibly thus help you avoid trouble, or obtain fortune.
I know they are meant to be entertaining, and a general guide for daily living, but God has a different view of them.
Leviticus 19:31 says
"Do not turn to mediums or spiritists: do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord" (NASB)
Look also in the next chapter at 20:6 and verse 27.
(6) As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists to play the harlot after them, I will also set my face against that person..."
(27) "Now a man or a woman who is a medium or a spiritist shall surely be put to death..." (NASB)
Friend, I've shown you truthful "negatives" about consulting the horror scopes, but now look at a truthful "positive" to add understanding.
Proverbs 3:5,6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." (NASB)
I hope this helps, and I pray God increase your understanding.
2 Tim. 2:7

To be practical...there is a 1 in a million chance that horoscopes will accurately predict anything...
If you were to read the Bible...yep its there in Deutronomy that it is the work of the devil... personally this could be applicable only if really let the horoscope dictate your every move...but otherwise if you are a rational thinking being you would not let horoscopes do that to you.

It is not a sin to look at your horoscope, they have been used in the past. It isn't good to base your existance around them. Use them as a possible idea to consider, but always examine what you read first. Often they are written with the byline that they are for entertainment use only.

any attempt to see what the future holds without God telling you is a sin. concentrate on the here and now. tommorow is tomorow. tomorrow is not garenteed and the past is inaccessable. all we have is today, so make the best of it. live each day as if it is the last. just dont do anything against the law.

Jesus drove out the spirit of fortune telling from a women because it was an evil spirit.
The Bible also warns against trafficking with crystal gazers, card readers and fortune tellers as I recall.
