When someone says God Bless it means that they pray that God will be good to you and bless you with many joyous things in your life....therefore God Bless America means that we pray that God blesses America with many happy things ...keep us safe and happy and prosperous

Unlike ure name lightning boy, we should take this literally. "God bless America" meaning we ask the Almighty Father ruler of heaven and earth to look after our homeland, protect our troops, and keep watchful eye and a guiding hand over our families. I'll never get sick of saying or hearing "GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!"

It is a request. We are asking God to bless our country.
