Why are people so quick to call foul if you say anything negative about Islam?

Is it that there is nothing negative about this religion?

Now why would someone give me a thumbs down on this question?

Because peole oftencnfuse Islamists with Muslims. Islamists are radical jihadist leaders who do not follow the teachings of the Quean. These are the ones behind the wars in the middle east. The true Muslims are often prosecuted by the Islamist governemnts. Since few in that area are literate they cannot read the Quran themselved and are easily misguided now that many of the true muslims have fled, gone into hiding, or have been killed. You chould adress your messages to islamists, not muslims.

To answer your question now.. how would you feel if someone said something negative about your religion??
obviously no matter what religion you are..its rude to speak negatively about a persons faith..

and so people might be quick to call foul cause :

a. you might be stereotyped with what you hear from others..that isn;t true and could upset the people that believe in islam and kno w more than you do..

and

b. if you were a jew..christian..muslim....you do believe that there is nothing negative about your relgion..so how would you react to someone who is saying something about your religion based on what they hear....

You cant' know much from other people..cause everyone interprets meanings differently.. that's why there's a torah..bible and quar'an..

The same reason christians get offended when you mention the evils perpetuated in the name of christianity(slavery, holocaust, rapping young children... i'll stop there). Noone likes when people talk bad about their religion, thats human nature.


By the way posavic, tim mcvay and the unibomber were not muslim, sorry not all terrorist are muslim.

People take their beliefs very seriously. Any religion getting bashed will have their believers and followers be offended. It's not just limited to Islam.

For the same reasons that they put down christians, mormons, catholics, athiests. People are really negative about things they don't understand. People think that the unknown is either evil or wrong. People are stupid.

George Orwell said it best in his novel Animal Farm: "All the animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." Basically, many groups (not just Moslems) use their "differentness" to their political and social advantage by trying to make others feel guilty by criticising them.

because we have a right to freedom of religion just like u and we like to defend ours cuz it is constantly under the spotlight..religion is sensitive no matter which one..lets just all do the right thing and not talk baout other peoples religions in a bad way....criticizing someone elses religion doesnt make yours any better!

I think Muslims are human .have their mistakes .but the Islam itself is amazing you can find the answer of any question you can't lost if you understand it and know it well
