become a better version of yourself? or has it made you elitist? has it given you a true sense of peace? or has it made you leary of anyone different from you? has your faith caused you to look beyond yourself to the needs of others? or just to the needs of yourself or those with whom you associate?

Basically, are you a better human b/c of your religion? is the world a better place b/c you are religious?

Humans are too complicated and they have too many issues not only with religion. They will find another excuse to cause war.

(About global warming)

"Maybe they are cyclical changes! Who cares? It's still "global warming", even if it's not caused by man-made pollutants. The Bible plainly tells us that it will heat up, and that there will be major climatic changes. So why is it so easy for some to believe that we're seeing the beginning of the "wars and rumors of wars", pestilences, earthquakes, persecution against Christians, et cetera, yet so difficult to believe that the climate's changing? It's all a foreshadowing of what's to come."

"Waah, people are actually using their brains and rejecting my bullshit religion, so that qualifies as persecution." Non-Christians have had to endure thousands of years of persecution, so I don't want to hear ****-for-brains Fundies complaining about it. Do everyone a favor and hold a mass suicide, please.

I hear all the time that religious people just have 'faith' and that's why they believe what they do. So I'm inventing my own religion just like every other religion was started...by man. It's gonna be groovy, in this religion, called Christisgay, we actually like jews and praise him for slaughtering that jesus guy. We eat ice cream and we laugh at the christians cuz we're better than those stupid fattties. We dont' actually worship a god, he worships us because see the world started 400 years ago when there were only 9 of every animal and we reject science, i mean what's up with that crazy thing they call science? See, isn't it great? Just one more f*ckin religion to deal with all its nonsense. Wake up, religion is just man made, think for urselves and stop causing wars in society. Or at the very least convert on over to us, we got plenty of ice cream to go around. oh and no homos, jk, we're not like those jack*ss christians

Yesterday I asked a question (with sarcasm) about Muhammad's marriage and sex with 9 yr old Aisha (link @ bottom).

My point was, according to the Quran, Muhammad's conduct is the eternal standard, and since he married and bedded a child of 9, Muslims today and forever must believe pedophilia is "excellent" behavior.

Shocking pedophilia apologetics (Muslims & Leftists) >>

serkornel “Yes it was true that muhammad married with a young girl. But it 's only akad. to safe the life of the child.

Zothr “first i want to tell u that prophet muhammed married aicha whan she was 9 years old for some puposes as she was wise and intelligent and she could keep his teachings and sharia(islamic law”

Mr_luay1985 “It's true that he married a 9 years old girl ... but that was with her and her parents approval”

Girl_Wonder “In those days, most men married very young girls..”

I've never been one to say that religion is a wholly bad thing, nor that everything bad is caused by religion - that would be ridiculous. However.. it's undeniable that religion causes a great deal of conflict and persecution and inequality and suffering in the world.

So, is it possible that we can have a civilised world and still have religion in it, or is religion inevitably going to cause problems all the time there are people still following it?

Where do you put the ne...pas in past tense (passe compse), reflexive sentences in French? For example, if I were to make the following sentence negative: Je me suis lavee les mains. Where do the ne and pas go?

Also, in passe compose, with a verb that takes etre, is it true that you don't agree the verb if there is a direct object proceeding it?

Thanks for any help!
