I'm an engineer, but I'm also a scientist. This makes my life tricky in many ways. One of the more trivial is that engineers (especially computer people) tend to say "the data is..." while scientits say "the data are..." Both insist that they are right. I'm not really looking for any arguments from authority (Dr. so and so says "data is the plural of datum in Latin" sorts of things). I just want to hear some people's own thoughts on the matter.

I do not know why I attract women all the time. I am married (to a man) and have three kids. The only thing I can think of is that I have short hair. I hope this doesn't offend anyone I was just wondering. I do have gay friends, am I picking up some of their ways of doing things, and that is a suggestion that I am? I don't know what to do to change this. I go out with friends and every time I get hit on by women even if I am not putting out any signals at all.

i strongly desagree with the theory of intelligent design
here is why
the logic of intelligent design says that certain things such as the eye, dna, the universe and the human mind are all to complex to have appeared randomly, and seem to suggest a creator
let us imagine that anything above the line is so complex it requires a creator and as you go higher above the line, things get more complex

human brain
the eye
and others

Would not both logic and the bible tell us that god is more complex than us?
Thus we could draw the following chart

where is god in relation to the line????

Why would God be against Jews or Muslims or anyone for that matter if he knew that you would not believe in Jesus when you were born? It is almost like he wants to send people to hell. If you could put some detail in to this I would greatly appreciate this.

Have you ever noticed that any time someone does something, most of the time, it is in their best interest? This seems to be the trend of everything from employers to everyday people you know. My husband and been married seven years. His children came to stay with us and all hell broke loosed. The girls gave me hell. I treated them if they were my own kids, because I am not their mother they refused to obey. I would bring it to my husband attention but it would go into their ears and come out another. To make a long story short, my husband moved out with the kids but refused to tell me where he lives or home phone number. There is no other woman but because the kids (6) dislike me that much he doesn't want to give me this information. But he still wants to come and lay with me. Its been one year of me toiling with this. Please tell me if I'm making the right decision about not sleeping with him. Serious answers please.

I am afraid that I am starting to stray from my heterosexuality because I am starting to regard women as heartless monsters who all act vile towards me (and they all do.) Lately I have found myself scoping out guys, not all guys, just a small percentage of guys whom I would consider to be good-looking (< 5%). Had I been able to attract females, I probably would never even CONSIDER other men. It's like what I am going through is a coping mechanism.
