Because alot of people's views can be shaped by their religious beliefs. Usually their own view of morality comes from their religious viewpoint. It happens with other religions too, not just Christianity. There are also many religions that feel it is important to spread their faith, and will use any opportunity to do so. To them it may be needed. If you are debating a topic, it may help to gently say, "without religious reasons, please tell me what you think of this"

If you are a Christian, you believe in and follow the teachings of Jesus. Jesus taught his followers to share the Word of the Lord with others. He taught them to praise and worship the Lord in truth and spirit. A true Christian doesn't just go to church every Sunday and forget about God the rest of the week. My life is a reflection of my beliefs. I think about God in everything I do, so I naturally answer questions with references to God and the Bible. He is THE most important part of my life. I don't answer every question with information about God or quotes from the Bible. I do when it fits into my answer.

On the day you meet Jesus , you can ask Him yourself.. My thought is that the only thing that scares satan is the name of Jesus, you don't complain about anything more than the mention of Jesus' name.. God is the answer to all life's questions, and Jesus Christ IS Lord and God of Everything, including you.. 3nails + 1cross magnified by Jesus = Salvation

Because there's nothing like preaching to people who don't care, in a completely unrelated conversation, to make you feel good about yourself.

It's a way to try to control and dominate the discussion. They think that they are right...They actually look pretty foolish.
