Assalamualykum Brother In Islam, I think our muslim brothers and sisters answered ur question satisfactorily, I hope some of those people of the book would realize it somehow that Islam is not a bad religion it teaches us the truth and only those wrong-doer followers makes Islam a bad religion. May Allah SWT guide those who are in the right path and punish those who mocks Islam and those who destroy the image of Islam in the world. As a summary to their explanation, Jews and Christians are called People of the Book, and that they have the teachings of our prophet Moses and Jesus PBUT. We are obliged to Inform them about Islam but prohibits us from forcing them or making war with them. There is no compulsion in religion, thAt is what the Qur'an told us. Allah SWT through prophet Muhammad PBUH, ordered us to live in peace and harmony with the people of the book and he also ordered us to inform them about the true techings of Islam, so that some chosen from them who is destined to earn Allah's mercy, blessing (hidayah) knows about Islam. Today, there are now many reverts to Islam from among the people of the books becoz some of them realize the truth about their existence here on Earth. The Qur'an told us that some of them are destined to be cold hearted that they really hated us muslims until we join their religion. And to this we must always beware my brothers and sisters, take refuge to Allah SWT from this people. And just don't mind them but still inform the of the truth but its not ur responsibility if they agree or not ur just a plain informer of Islam my muslim sister or brother. Lastly, to be living with the people of the book here on Earth, is one of the greatest challenge for us muslims in fulfilling our mission to AllahSWT. We must fulfill his will, with Knowledge and Wisdom from the Qur'an's guidance as well as the prophet's HAdith. Use our God-given Reason and Thinking in Dealing with them and not be harsh, expect some of their mockings on us, have patience and continue to teach the truth about Islam and InshaAllah! someday some of them will realize what they are mocking at. Furthermore I'll leave you with a message to always read Surah al-Fatihah and the last verse of Surah al-Baqarah, its a protection from those people of the book who is cold-hearted about Islam and mock it! Continue to do what Islam teaches us and InshaAllah someday The truth in Islam will succeed over their mockings. Surah al-fatihah: "Oh! Allah Lead us to the straight path, The path of whom u bestowed thy grace, Not the path of those who earn ur Wrath, Nor the path who have gone Astray".

[2.113] And the Jews say: The Christians do not follow anything (good) and the Christians say: The Jews do not follow anything (good) while they recite the (same) Book. Even thus say those who have no knowledge, like to what they say; so Allah shall judge between them on the day of resurrection in what they differ.
[2.120] And the Jews will not be pleased with you, nor the Christians until you follow their religion. Say: Surely Allah's guidance, that is the (true) guidance. And if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, you shall have no guardian from Allah, nor any helper.
[2.135] And they say: Be Jews or Christians, you will be on the right course. Say: Nay! (we follow) the religion of Ibrahim, the Hanif, and he was not one of the polytheists.
[2.140] Nay! do you say that Ibrahim and Ismail and Yaqoub and the tribes were Jews or Christians? Say: Are you better knowing or Allah? And who is more unjust than he who conceals a testimony that he has from Allah? And Allah is not at all heedless of what you do

you already spoke back that your self with the help of asserting "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN GOD AND the superb DAY AND DOES good". seem at that very heavily, it did no longer say "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN JESUS AS GOD OR MARY AS GOD OR TRINITY OR the various CHRISTIANS AND JEWS BELIEVES" it in basic terms says whoever between the christians, jews, sabians who believes in islam monotheism and contained interior the day of judgement and does good i.e. (helping the needy, feeding the hungry, be humble and not proud, be endurance and bear with perseverance and an incredible form of determination good deeds which all persons understand) heavily isn't deprived of their rewards through certainty God is in basic terms. would the God of Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Abraham(peace of Allah be on all of them) e.t.c. handbook us to the perfect direction (Amen).

I am a Christian and have always been on a good accord with my friends who are Muslim. We love and obey the same God. And Our God, the God we all love, loves us!
