I do not know why I attract women all the time. I am married (to a man) and have three kids. The only thing I can think of is that I have short hair. I hope this doesn't offend anyone I was just wondering. I do have gay friends, am I picking up some of their ways of doing things, and that is a suggestion that I am? I don't know what to do to change this. I go out with friends and every time I get hit on by women even if I am not putting out any signals at all.

Being the mother of three must mean that you have a high level of competence and confidence! Talk about a hard job :) It is my experience (as a lesbian) that we are not that different from straight women. We are attracted to competency, confidence, honesty, respect....sounds like you have all of those qualities. Also sounds like you're not very judgemental....and that's a hard combo to resist! It's more in the way you carry yourself than any "signals" that you put out there. Don't worry about it. Just consider yourself hot enough to attract both sexes! LOL. Be firm but kind when you let these women know that you aren't a lesbian, and let it give you an ego boost.

Take it as a compliment. If you are at a place where there will be lesbians, than it's a given. If you're not, than it just might be something about you that makes you attractive to them.

my lesbian friend said that it's the body language and mannerism that gives it away. Sometimes it's the way you dress, rarely would it be your hair cut coz lots of executive/business women have short hair.

The thing is some lesbians do not care whether you have a wedding ring or not, they know many married women are bisexuals.

It's flattering that both sexual orientations find you attractive, take it as a compliment :) I wish i am like you coz it seems like only girls want me.

You kinda have to get used to it, ignore the people who say that its cause your really a lesbian cause if your not, your not.

I get hit on by a lot of lesbians too (since I was 13), but it never really bothered me. People have to learn that not every girl with short hair is a lesbian. Just take it as a compliment, people think you're sexy and that's all that matters. If your putting out signals it might be how u walk or stand, it might look more masculine.

My best friend attracts a lot of lesbians, she always has and she actually has long hair. No matter where she goes women would hit on her. She is very flattered by it, and I can't blame the lesbians for wanting to hit on her.

my best friend is a lesbian. I think it's a typical steriotype that you have a butch and a femme. Sure there are those types of couples, but my friend is "femme" and so his her girlfriend. They are both very into makeup, clothes, hair... their relationship works because they've come to a happy medium, you don't "need" a masculine and a feminine... it's all steriotype. Some women are attracted to the butch women others aren't... just like in a typical relationship... sometimes you have a dominating, amazon woman and a meeker, quiet man... and vise versa...

When I say this I don't mean to offend you but reading your question almost gives me the impression you might be asking yourself if you are Bi or Lesbian, am I wrong? If I am then I would just be happy all types of people feel they can be open with you because there are so many closed people in this world that people feel lucky to open to you.

Been happening to me my whole life. It's not the short hair. The funny thing is that my sister is gay and she complains I get hit on more than her. Her theory is that I'm so comfortable with her and her friends that I'm more open than many straight women might be under similar circumstances. It's not a bad thing, or anything to worry about. It's a compliment, roll with it and relax. All you have to do is simply say thanks so much for the compliment but i'm straight.
