How do you know whether or not he'll treat you like a slave or like dirt before you marry him?

work on Saturday (which he normally has off). That means he won't be ready to go until at least 6:30. The wedding is at 3 and the reception starts at 5:30. Would it be alright if I went without him and took my daughter as a fill in until he arrives? I hate going places like that by myself but it's the only thing I've had to look forward to all summer and I even bought new clothes for it. What is the proper etiquette in this situation? My daughter is 15 and said she'd do it for me.

A friend of mine believes in Holy Trinity but in a different way.
He believes that God The Father and Jesus are less powerful than the Third Person of Holy Trinity or Holy Spirit. He even sometimes
speak ill of them. But he made an idol of a half-human half-dove
after replacing it with an idol of Jesus in the cross and an idol of God The Father with white beard and a triangular hat. He worships the idol of Holy Spirit now. Is it ok?

How do you tell someone about your faith without making anyone feel uncomfortable? We are asked to invite people who still do not know Jesus to our church. I have lots of muslim friends I would like to invite, but I get to loose nerve whenever I have the chance. NO, I don't want them to convert (though it would be nice for them to know Jesus). Please help.

I confess to the world that I avoid reading the Old Testament(except Psalms and Proverbs) because of how God and men treated women. How raped women never got justice from God, how if a woman commits adultery gets punished more severely than a man who does and so on.

The much older generations are the worst. Men have admitted to me that they treated their ex-wives like slaves and like an old testament harlot, or ways that women were treated in the Old testament. This generation is getting better though. But it makes me not to want to marry because the chances of getting married to a Christian man that'll treat you like a slave are very high. Is it better to marry a nice secular guy that treats you better than most Christian men would? or what? State your ideas.

What are some figures of speech based on real feelings? I thought of three: blood boiling, lump in my throat and heartache.

When you say, "My blood is boiling" you don't actually feel bubbling in the veins but you feel a hot flush, your muscles tighten and constrict, heart pounds. This one is easy to explain - I think the rush of anger raises the blood pressure and temperature too, thus the feeling your blood is boiling.

We've all had a lump in our throat when we encounter something sad, touching or heartbreaking. It's hard to swallow - why?

When you say, "My heart aches" sometimes that is true. A deep profound sadness does seem to cause a heavy ache in the breastbone. Every breath seems heavier, your chest can even physically ache where your heart is. Sometimes it feels like it swells up in your chest. It must be some sort of response from the body to emotion, but what are the physiogical explanation for this very real feeling of heartache?

There's this board that I go to for chatting and more and I met some nice people over there.
When I first joined over there they welcomed me nicely like any other people and I've felt really good about it since then but now it's been over 4 months since I've been there and I feel like the people on the board don't like me as much, or they just dont want me anymore. If I make a topic, no one will reply or answer back but they will if someone else makes one. If I reply to something, it seems as if they're trying to ignore me and get me out of the conversation by ignoring me completely.

Now keep in mind I haven't posted anything that would make them angry at me. I'm a nice asian person, I may be dead serious or just plain crazy/bonkers but I really dont understand whats going on.

Remember how much money films about Jesus gross? Remember how Mel Gibson's "Passion" became a blockbuster after it inspired so much controversy? Well this a cash cow waiting to milked.
If someone were to show a real film about Muhammad, that didn't waste time being sensitive to Muslims, it would certainly gross huge amounts and be remembered for years to come. Wouldn't you love to see Muhammad charging at the Quarish in the Battle of Badr? His manipulative face trying to convince his followers to kill themselves? His radically altered Bible stories portrayed on the big screen? When is a film producer going to come out and shoot this baby? I've heard that Mel Gibson had to fund "Passion" himself because all the major producers were Jewish. If that's the case, wouldn't a Jewish producer jump to display Muhammad as the lunatic he was? Come on Hollywood, I'd pay big bucks to see that!
