im not racist or anything...but i always hear people refer cubans as being goood swimmers...whay is this?

I never heard they were good swimmers, I think it's just a joke, because there are so many in Florida.

It's a cruel joke, since many try to leave and make it miles across the ocean to Florida. Key West is only 90 miles away, and technically it's closer to Cuba than the mainland of Florida...

Because they are always practicing for the chance they get to escape Cuba. Its a long swim to Florida.

I live in miami and its sort of a joke thing. Its refers to the fact that they are able to make it out of Cuba and into the U.S on just about anything that floats.

well Cuba is an island so I imagine most of them swim at the beach perhaps.
