Well, the fundamental flaw is this - don't go looking for love and acceptance on a message board! While the cyber community is a great tool for communication, it shouldn't replace traditional friendships. Good luck!

Some of those message boards get into their own little thing. Start knowing others more than not. I'd say what ever group you are in, thats what may have happen. If you continue to be ignored just move onto another group or start your own. I'll join..depending on the subject. Good Luck!

Find another board where you are not ignored. Maybe find a couple more; involve yourself in all of them, and at the end of 3 weeks, choose the one that you feel the most welcome on. I know what you mean about being ignored sometimes. We never seem to know the answer to that one, but rather than worry ourselves about it, we can seek out other venues for chatting and friendship.

Your are certainly not being ignore here, but may i ask what type of quetsion did you asked? Can you repeat what you asked on the other board here for us? I can honestly tell you what i think about the subject you choose or my opinion why people are not responding to you. Btw i am also asian, on the net color is blind, we can be anyone. You could quite unknowningly said the wrong thing. It's sad that no one will tell you so though.
You have a few choices
1 - hang on like you are and see if things improve
2 - if the group has a moderator, ask what you did and say why you are asking.
3 - let go and move on

Sometimes online chats just fizzle out... when you are new, you are interesting becuase of your newness. then they go back to old friendships... probably ones that are off line friendships as well. you cant hope to compete with those.

You have to assert yourself, make yourself known and heard. I used to be the same way and if you dont get in there and let people know your alive they will forget your there.

They may take your opinions seriously because they think you may not show up again. Keep on keeping on!
