Well to keep faithful you must talk to God like a friend and treat him as if he were your best friend. I try to talk to God every single moment of my life as if I were breathing prayer. All you have to do is ask for forgiveness and think about God all the time. Think of that one thing most were taught as a kid, W.W.J.D. What Would Jesus Do? in this situation? Sin can be the easy way but although its beautiful, God's way, the right way, is even more beautiful. Plus you will be honored for what you did for God in the past, now, and later. The good thing about God is he forgives and then forgets all for you! He loves you so much and that is why he died for us all. His pain and agony helps us remember that God loves you so much he would do that. - John 3:16 Now the question is, would you stay faithful? Would you accept and not deny? We all make mistakes and that is because we are human but God did that all for us to remember that. Would you do that for him? Would you be willing to give up your life? That is where being faithful comes in. Keep time with God the most valuable in your life. Keep God first in your life. In everything you do keep God your leader. God loves you and cares about you and is saddened when you turn from him because he is crazy about you. He loves you with all of his heart. God is always there by your side and is watching over your every move. :D God bless all.

In my opinion, someone doesn't need to go to church or pray every day or carry a bible with them. When I see that, I think, why do they need so much support if they truly believe? I know the air is there but I don't carry a baggy full of it in my pocket and say, "I know the air is there that is why I carry it in my pocket!"
To stay faithful is to just know. If you know, it will show in everything you do! If your religion says love thy neighbor, then fine...be the bigger person, the next time your neighbor's dog poops on your lawn, scoop the poop. It saves your lawn and it says, hey I have more respect than to just throw a fit over a dog. Thats being faithful.....DOING what you BELIEVE....I've seen MANY people say "oh I love God, I'm a (fill in a religious belief here)" but then in the next sentence, they do exactly the OPPOSITE of what that religion is all about For example, say Joe Schmoe says that he doesn't look down upon anyone just because they don't share the same religion, but then Joe Schmoe sees someone, say, Sally Mally, who is of a different religion walking by and Joe Schmoe states how wrong Sally Mally is for not following HIS religion.
I guess what I'm saying is, in my eyes, all a person needs to be faithful is to be YOU and if YOU believes in God and YOU know it, that's being faithful. Those other time consumming things like buying 50 bibles, going to the 10 church services throughout the week, or praying every night before bed are just things people do to make themselves feel good and feel closer to God. (Please don't misunderstand me here, I am NOT by ANY means putting anyone down for doing so...) BUT its not needed just to be faithful. Find it in your heart, your mind and most importantly, show it to the world........

First of all, if you know for certain that you have backslid on the Lord, then just ask for his forgiveness. It is as simple as that. He told us 1 John 1:9, that if we confess our sins, that He is faithful to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It only takes a second to ask for God's forgiveness. And we must believe that when we ask Him to forgive us, that He does so; just as He promised to do in his Word. And as far as being faithful to God, we do so by continually abiding in his Holy Word, and praying to Him daily, and being obedient to what He tells us to do. But no human being is perfect; we all make mistakes. And God knows that we are not going to be able to live a perfectly sinless life. All that He requires of us is to do our very best. And when we fail, we just turn to Him in repentance, and ask for his forgiveness. Being faithful to God is not as hard as some people make it sound to be. God is always right by our side to help us anytime that we need his help. And it is only with his help that anyone is ever able to be completely faithful. Just do the very best that you can do, and God will do the rest.

You just have to realize that if he doesn't answer some of your prayers, he's still there and he loves you. There might be a reason for him not to. He knows all and loves everyone, good or bad. You also have to remember (whenever your faith is getting low) that he sent his son down here for the sole purpose of dying in agony, nailed on a cross, for all of our past and future sins. So that we could just pray and repent our sins, from bad thoughts to murder, and they would be forgiven. Even if you don't feel that being good is paying off because noone notices it, God sees it and you'll be rewarded when you get up to Heaven.

The truth is we all backslide and sin. It is because we are human. Really, it is the truth.
The real issue is to trust Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, confess your sins to Him and do your best to repent. I have found great comfort and encouragment by studying the Word of God / Bible - try the book of John or Romans.
Also, it is great to be in a fundamental church that places the Bible at the center of it's ministry.
You are not alone, ok. Even folks like Jonah, Solomon, and King David, who were great leaders of the faith found themselves in tough times. Just turn to God and ask forgiveness - He has never refused anyone!
God Bless!

I think about the pain and suffering Jesus endured so believers like me could have eternal life. That gives me hope, but it also shows me the love He had for the children of God. He abided by God's will even though He went through extreme pain on our behalf. He taught His disciples to love each other, to accept all people, to be compassionate, and to forgive others. My life is a reflection of my belief in the Lord. He loves me unconditionally. I try to do the same. I pray for strength and courage when I feel myself faultering. I ask for guidance in my daily life. I ask for knowledge and understanding when reading His Word.

The only way to stay faithful to "god" is to discover that there is not a "god" and that there is no evidence of a "god" ever being here.

its really hard for me cuz i make excuses like i dont have time to pray and stuff but i wish i could put more focus on God. you can always go to church that helps.
also sometimes being faithful doesnt mean you have to be a Christain or whatever but you follow the example of the amazing people before you nothing comes to mind right now
i know its kinda dorky but i ask myself what would Jesus do all the time and even if i dont pray for whatever reason it does help me to follow Jesus' example

The more you get to know Him, the more you love Him. Its easy to be faithful when you love. If its just a head thing, too shallow, it won't hold you. Go deeper. Read the Scriptures just to watch Jesus, like you're standing on the sidelines. Just behold the Lord, and the rest will unfold.

Paul has a warning in the bible about people who "shipwreck" their faith: I can tell you how to do this. (1) don't go to church (2) don't be in a bible study (3) don't pray (4) steep yourself in things of the world (movies, TV, horrid music) (5) hang around with godless people.
To stay faithful, do the opposite of all above. Faith is active...it isn't something that takes care of itself without an effort from us!
