I was told that any crucifix should work well, but the best ones:

1) Are ade of fiberglass
2) Have triple-isoceles cuts on each end of the cross.
3) Have Jesus with bent knees, instead of straight knees.

Is this true?

I'm a 23-year-old male from a small Minnesota city, and I just finished college with a degree in business. I've lived my entire life in Minnesota, and I want to try something new. I've narrowed my decision down to two choices: Portland (Oregon) or Chicago. I've never lived in a city of over 100,000 population, so the vibrance, diversity, and sheer size of Chicago is exciting. I've had a good time on the few times I've visited it. On the other hand, I like outdoor recreation and natural beauty, and I've found Portland to excel in those areas when I've visited. I also like the laid-back atmosphere there.

So, which city do you like better? Which city would it be easier to find a job in? Which city shows more hospitality towards mountain goats from outer-space? In other words, answer the question in any way that you want!

I really have trouble meeting new people and making friends. I am easy to get along with, but I can't go up to people and start talking to them. If others come up to talk to me, I have no idea what to say. This is a problem: I don't know what to talk about. Even with my good friends I go through periods of silence during conversations because I can't find things to talk about. People have told me to read current events or be observant of my environment in order to go up to people and have conversations. However, I've never heard of just going up to some person and talking about politics or some other news item. Nobody talks about that stuff all the time anyway. It'd get boring. What to say after we exhaust the news stories?
If I'm in a situation in which I find something I can relate to, lets say the other person is wearing a shirt of a band I like, I can remark about the band but then the conversation dies. How can I stop this from happening? I'm 18 and going to college soon. Help me

My brother used to live here with my mother and I, but he moved out with his girlfriend. She is Wiccan and has left a pair of her shoes here and I've mentioned them to her several times to take them home, but she has not. Someone told me that it is Wiccan traditional to leave something at a person's house. What's the deal?

i find this a bit strange since there are more cultures besides the christain and muslim that believe there is a GOD or a type of god they may not believe the same way we do but never the less they believe. but there is no evidance of Ghosts or even UFO's in these cultures. i just dont see how some one who doesn't believe in GOD can believe in such things.

Every religion has a creation myth but all lack the one thing, proof. Believing in something to be true does not make it true. The only thing that has proof in our creation is Science. Only with the tools of Science have we begun to understand where we truly come from. With something called Evolution through Natural Selection.

If we claim to be a intelligent people, then we must accept the elegant truths revealed by science. Carl Sagan once said "Science has carried human self-consciousness to a higher level" Think about that statement. How can religion ever claim to say that when all religion does is restrict the discoveries of Science. It started 2500 years ago and it continues today.
