Many do not believe because they do not like the example that Christians are setting for them, it has nothing to do with intelligence. Jesus told us to love God and Love one another. Loving one another is not making someone feel bad or stupid or lower then you because of whatever reason. Jesus really has beautiful teachings it is when people feel it is their place to judge one another and distort these teachings the message is then twisted and becomes hateful. I personally do not like when people a critical of me because I am a Christian just like a non believer would feel if the roles are reversed. But I use to be the same way until I seeked information out on my own and allowed Jesus into my life.

I am a Christian, and I don't have a problem with non-Christians. I will abmit that I am un-educated about certain religions and at times I make unfair judgements, wich I realize are wrong of me to make. But as a whole I am not one of those Christians, who tries to convert everyone who doesn't believe what I believe. I let people know that I am Christian, and do my best to live my life as a good example of what a Christian is and I let those around me know that if they ever have any questions they can ask me, just like I would hope people of other religions would be happy to answer my questions about there religion if I asked.

The Greek word for 'church' is ekklesia, which I think means something like, "those who have been called out". So its people, first of all, not a building.
Secondly, its God who called us out... so we have been saved and called by Jesus...
So, if anyone is a Christian out there and thinks they are somehow intrinsically 'better' than non-Christians, they really don't understand the basic, fundamental first thing about being a Christian (saved by grace, through faith, so that NO ONE can boast).
But its true that self-righteousness and pride is an easy trap for Christians (or anyone) to fall into and one we all need to be especially careful of. It hurts our walk with our Lord (which is most important) and by direct correlation our witness to others.
Now, if you ask me do Christians think that we are BETTER OFF than non-Christians, I would say "we don't need to be thinking in those terms, but if we do, then we really should think of ourselves as BETTER OFF".
If we believe what we say we believe, then how could we NOT consider ourselves better off? y'know?

Actually, I never really think about non-Christians. Basically because I've been taught not to judge people. I don't like when someone pushes their beliefs on me, so I don't do it to others. If someone doesn't believe in Jesus, that's fine. If they do, that's fine too. If everyone minded their own business, the world would be a better place.

I used to be one of them before I came to Christ. I think in many cases they simply have not taken the time to actually learn what the Gospel message is. Some of them are probably like I was. I had developed my own theories over time and they made more sense to me than the little I knew about the bible. It is common for people to get their information of the bible from less than reliable sources, so it is not surprising that many people misunderstand what it says. The posts on here are evidence that most non-believers don't know much about the bible.
None of us are more or less loved by God. And I know some atheist who are very smart. But I think they have devoted their energies into other areas rather than into preparing for eternity.

Lastly I think the majority of atheist were hurt at some point in their life. A deep pain that still hurts them today. They likely adopted the idea that there is no God because a loving God would not have allowed _________ to happen. Again a lack of knowledge about who God is, leaves people vulnerable to this.

Worldliness, envy, and satisfaction existed between specific early Christians. James calls some “adulteresses” because of the fact they have been acquaintances of the international and for this reason responsible of religious adultery. somewhat, we don't % to enhance into worldly in thoughts-set, speech, and strikes, for that should make us God’s enemies. His be conscious exhibits us that “an inclination to envy” is component of the undesirable inclination, or “spirit,” in sinful people. So if we comprehend that we would desire to combat envy, satisfaction, or another undesirable inclination, enable us to hunt for God’s help by skill of holy spirit. That rigidity, provided by skill of God’s undeserved kindness, is greater than “an inclination to envy.” And while Jehovah opposes the proud, he will provide us undeserved kindness if we combat sinful inclinations.

I'm wondering if you're athiest and you're trying to get "christians" to insult other athiests therefore starting a fight.

I don't think either group is stupid. If you REALLY care what I think, I think athiests are people who have been influenced by the Devil and are still under his influence so that they are unable to believe. They resist all God's attempts to communicate with them. Some have been hurt, some feel unloved, some don't like themselves and have trouble believing somebody could love them in spite of all the bad things they've done. Some are a slave to this world of fashion, sex, and money, and are blinded, unable to see what's out there. I feel sorry for them, because God wants to save ALL of us, He loves ALL of us, and EACH of us matters to Him, but the Devil has a hold on some and blinds them. But there's not much I can really do about that. Good luck my friend. God bless.

Its none of my business to know why they don't believe. I just let that be between them and God. I'm not smart in general and so I know they are smarter then me, automatically. So you can't say that all Christians are smarter then non-Christians, cause its not true.

many of them are more friendly and level headed than my some of my christian brothers and sisters. although they do seem to have a bit more of a closed mind than most christians i know.

as for smarter or stupid, there is no such thing as stupid in people. it is ignorance that separates us from the un-informed. i use history and science to prove the events of the bible and the life of Jesus and others mentioned in the bible.

there are those christian "brothers and sisters" of mine, who think i am damned because i "question" the Word of God. as a scientist, i dont question God, rather i attempt to prove His work on this earth.

there are scientist who are certain that i am a quack, because i regard God as the basis for my knowledge, and thank Him for giving me the ability to learn.

its a no-win situation that just goes to show that you can't please everybody, no matter how much you try....which i dont try to do.

I have non-christian friends, and I hope they see the different Jesus has made in my life, so they too can have eternal life. Some do not believe because they have not had the privledge of growing up in a christian home. I pray for my unchurched friends and relatives.
