They pick and choose whatever suits them as the winds of time blow. A few hundred years ago "suffer not a witch to live" was the most quoted scripture in the Buybull. 150 years ago they were quoting all the slave related crap to justify slavery. Then they quoted all the woman bashing crap to justify keeping the vote away from women. Now they quote Leviticus and Romans to bash gays - while never raising the slightest fuss over divorce and remarriage, which is adultery by Biblical standards.

There are no evil scriptures in the Bible. The Bible is an honest actual record of history and God's dealings with man. There is no such thing as an evil Christian. That would be like saying that there are honest liars. A Christian follows the teachings of Jesus and the rest of the Bible and does not live an active sinful lifestyle.

The atheistic website you refer to shows the ignorance of its promoters. They mostly center on how bad it is that God had people killed because they quote "you shall not kill". However the right wording from the Bible is "you shall not murder". God is the ultimate judge and He can execute the ultimate penalty of death if He chooses to. It does seem harsh to have to kill whole cities at times but that severe action was taken to protect the righteous from the wicked. In fact that is what the world flood was about in Noah's time. The world was so filled with violence that God had to intervene to slow human progress down because the people were so far gone that the overall plan for man was jeopardized.

Some of the practices mentioned in the Bible do not necessarily mean that the Bible is advocating them. It is recording some practices that were done in those times but not commanded by God such as making someone a eunoch or having several wives.
Slavery was not openly commanded but it is seemed to sometimes be used when a people lost a battle against others.
Some of the "slavery" mentioned is really people selling themselves as endentured sevants willingly for a time.

As far as animal sacrifice, that was an instituted ritual for the Jews to show that the penalty for sin is death and it required a blood atonement which was leading up to the death and atonement of Jesus Christ. Those rituals are no longer needed since Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice for sin. As for
"human ritual sacrifice" The Bible never shows anywhere that God promoted it. Some pagan groups did practice it and the bible mentions some examples of that. Jesus's death on the cross was the only human sacrifice God ever desired.

Atheists have a problem in having any standard for morals. Whatever standards they may choose will come down to being a faith based belief showing that they are spiritual belivers of some kind after all. Most Atheists choose to be so because thay reject the Bibles's call to live a holy life. The more honest atheists probably will not be ones eventually.

Do i think atheists are evil - NO Do i think atheists are immoral - no longer continuously Do i think that you although should be forgiven and accept Jesus in an attempt to be saved from an eternity in hell - definite. became I taught this through technique of mother and father -positive and no, became after I taught this through technique of church - sort of even with the undeniable fact that no longer quite.Have I experienced atheists who were mean and variety of rude - a good definite. Have I met atheists who theory they were fantastic and had condescending attitudes - positive. Does that mean we'd want to no longer be friends in the quite international - Nope. I were an atheist, I were a Pagan, I were a witch, I were a Buddhist, I easily have positioned my savior even with the undeniable fact that in Christ and easily for the rationalization that an atheist thinks i'm incorrect, does no longer distinction who i'm and what i think. i'm susceptible to discuss faith and all, yet when atheists anticipate i'm ignorant for the rationalization that of my conception in Christ, it truly is what irks me; once they call names, or get irate - that insects me too. Atheist have an ideal to think what they want, without being aggressively harrassed from others - basically as we Christians do.

Have you considered that God did those things for a reason and that quoting one verse from a passage does not make it evil.
first off, God had to show that even kings were expected to pay for their evil actions.

Had God said not to do something and some one did it? What was to be the consequence?
