What is the nicest thing that someone did for you this week?
Did you get a chance to thank them?

whoo hooo!!!!!!!!!! I don't care if you call me a Jesus freak I luv Jesus. Everytime that one of you non believers persecute me or put my God down. the Lord gives me this joy and peace and he whispers in my ear and says " don't worry i love you...i will work on these people's hearts. you've done your part..i am well pleased". Thank you non Christians for causing me to grow closer to the Lord everytime you put me down. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Not too sound too rude with this comment or cause contraversy, but there are a lot of christians on this site. And what is the difference of pagans talking someone like Krishna or Vishnu as thier lord, compared to those who take jesus as thier lord.I mean it is all around the same concept with a different story and going about things. It is about who you choose to be your lord. And please, just honest answers with no insult to injury.

I know this sounds like an oxymoron but I am curious to know whether there are any people who describe themselves as Conservative when referring to their political views but who also view themselves either as atheists or agnostics. Also if you are such a "creature" , what is your take on Bush's presidency?

Many in the Islamic community claimed that 911 brought hundreds of thosands into Islam. Ive never seen any proof of this so I thought I would ask here. Did the murder of 3000 people for Allah convince you that Islam is the true religion? If so, explain why?

If murder in the name of Islam hasnt given you any negative impression of Islam (the source), explain why that is.

By the way, suppose I have a negative view of Islam as a result of all the violence done under its banner, is that bad? Rational?

If the murderers praising Allah before they murder for Allah ("Alluah Akbar") are not, in your opinion, practicing your idea of the "true islam", why should that changes anyones negative impression of Islam?

I reject Islam, therefore, I dont care what anyone thinks is the "true Islam", I only care how many people are inspired by the Quran to violently practice their idea of "true islam".

I remember hearing that everyone through the generations thought that Jesus would return in their generation. Do you also think that Jesus will return in your lifetime? I dont but only because Im an atheist and I dont beleive Jesus actually existed at all.

It says:

"But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery."

Why is divorcing a woman for any other reason EXCEPT adultery, make her an adulteress? And by that standard, why isn't the man considered an adulterer after the divorce also? And I do not like that fact that wife is basically “tainted” for the rest of her life, while the husband is free and clear. That doesn’t seem right. It’s the husband who wanted the divorce for a reason other than cheating or being a virgin.

I was reading a bit in the bible the other day. Seems like sins have to get rated. You've got your seven deadlies, breaking any any of the 10 commandments is up there..so I was wondering where I fall in? Some of you have said my sin is as bad, not worse than, murder. I am a lesbian.

Let me say i know that not all religious people feel this way. Some religious people are part of the glbt community. I am not christian, nor muslim, I am my own spiritual being. I am also a lesbian. Why, if I have never hurt anyone, and give and recieve love, am I equated to a murder or something of a similar ilk? Isn't God supposed to be about love?

The power of hope, and positive thinking...

In laboratory experiments, rats were subject to staying in water to see how long they would survive before they tired and drown. On average, it took 17 minutes.

Rat's that were subjected to the water, and then removed just before they went under, were dried off, and placed back in their cages.

Something amazing happened. When those same rats who were rescued, were put back in the water,
the duration of how long it took before they drown was...2,220 minutes, or approximately 37 HOURS.
Do you think they had hope, that someone would rescue them again? Or had they given up, like the earlier group...

It really makes you wonder how we influence each other, our children, our family, friends when we instill positive feedback into each other.

; )

Would the world not be a well better place to live in?
when or if judgement day comes, we could be judged on what we did for humanity and family, rather than hoping we prayed and worshiped enough, to an unseen unfounded maybe, so that we may be allowed into heaven, or if your muslim just blow up innocent bystanders for your cause, for your ticket to heaven?

Was it all just a coincidence? Is my life here just a figment of your imagination and you mine-I can taste-touch-see-smell-hear-and think-and dream-and imagine-and reason and contemplate and place perspective into consideration-and manipulate the findings and devise a theory and test this to define the parimeters and deminsions-and damn where is that tree of knowledge because I sure would be the first to pick a peck and hope God could see that living a life of ignorance just isn't for me-So why does The Moon perfectly eclipse the sun-how did these dimensions come into alignment in such a way that formed a parimeter that would place one heavenly body in total unison with another? It is by far one of the most amazing sights any man will see-the wonderment of our Galaxy-did God do this all for me? For You? Is he sad and that's why are skies are blue? I want to say be peaceful dear God but then I think of all the fraud-why would a loving entity-burn his Creation Eternally? Poor SATAN &ME?

I come from a Christian home. Recently I told my parents that I decided to try worshipping Buddha because worshipping Jesus Christ didnt work for me. She got mad at me. I was pretty much always depressed when I was a Christian but ever since I started Buddhism I've been feeling better. Now I'm pretty much an agnostic. So who should be worshipped and why - JESUS, MOHAMMED, or BUDDHA?
