Are you talking about Yahoo Answers?

If so, then no, especially not as much as it bothers me that some people use this medium as a platform to spread their own beliefs rather than pose or answer questions...especially in groups that have very little to do with religion.

If someone says that their religion is Atheism, then they are ignorant and do not understand what "religion" means...after all, isn't Atheism the absence of religion?

Atheism can't be a religion. "Religion usually concerns itself with that which transcends the known, the natural, or the expected; it is an acknowledgment of the extraordinary, the mysterious, and the supernatural. The religious consciousness generally recognizes a transcendent, sacred order and elaborates a technique to deal with the inexplicable or unpredictable elements of human experience in the world or beyond it." The Free Dictionary

Atheists only believe in science. They don't recognize a "higher being" or anything supernatural.

It bothers me that people can ehxibit such stupidity, and be so oblivious to the world around them.

"Atheism is a religion in the same way that not collecting stamps is a hobby." ~ Unknown

P.S.: These are most likely the same people who ask: "If humans came from apes, then how come there are still apes?"

No, I don't mind sharing ideas with *intelligent* people who are not hateful or sarcastic, no matter what their religious beliefs are.
It is irritating at times when I have had a sincere question that I wish to ask of other Christians, and some thoughtless rude people answer instead.

No because atheism is not a religion.

Not really because when you stop and think about it----atheists have more "FAITH" than we do. And the way I know that is because I believe that we are the product of an intelligent designer and atheists think we all "evolved" from a "lower form of life." So they actually have a whole lot more faith than I do---and what is "religion" but a faith in an unseen something. Right? You better believe it. (No pun intended) ;-)

As I see it, atheism is a religion; that of idolatry where the god is man(kind). Are we al mankind? Whether we believe in mankind (self) or God, that is a choice.l
