I come from a Christian home. Recently I told my parents that I decided to try worshipping Buddha because worshipping Jesus Christ didnt work for me. She got mad at me. I was pretty much always depressed when I was a Christian but ever since I started Buddhism I've been feeling better. Now I'm pretty much an agnostic. So who should be worshipped and why - JESUS, MOHAMMED, or BUDDHA?

Im actually an atheist. How could anyone believe any of that religious garbage anyways? Yeah Jesus was a moron - he apperently had any powers and instead of curing many deseases of his time he cursed a fig tree. Jesus was a pathetic loser -as is Mohammed. Buddha's the only good one as he doesnt force you to worship him at all.

Tough question. I also came from a Christian upbringing, but converted to Buddhism when I was in high school. I still practice Buddhism, but I don't worship Buddha. I worship or pray to a mandala or object of devotion on which Buddhas are depicted in Chinese characters along with the basic prayer or chant. Rather than worshipping the Buddha, this practice teaches that every person has the Buddha nature within and that by praying it can be brought out. This will help us achieve peace and happines and help us change our lives for the better.

That should not be the only reason why you should follow Buddha's teachings. All religions have some good things to offer. Buddhism can answer more of the nagging and illogical questions that other religions could not or refuse to answer. Study further into Buddhism and if you are convinced that it is better, follow its teachings diligently and benefit from it. The good about Budhism is that it does not impost a standard and insist that you be converted before you can be saved. In fact, Budhism really just teach how to save yourself from your own afflictions and pains. You continue to hold to whatever you believe.
Be well

I say you should go to Jesus. I can tell many stories of how Jesus worked in my life and in others. He comforted me when I was sad. He provided everything i need. He's just been so wonderful. Maybe the reason why Jesus didn't seem to work for you the first time is because you were probably forced by your parents to worship Him or whatever. And they were probably the strict type. God wants us to worship Him from our own hearts not someone elses. So give Him a second chance; everyone needs one.

First of all you believe in GOD JEHOVAH he is your creator and Jesus is his son and your redeemer they are both great. Jesus was a man just like you and he felt just like we do but he was sent here for a reason and that is you and me.Go out side an look up at the sky and the trees and all the beautiful things he created for us and thank him and ask him to fill you and believe that you will be filled. I think you should have a personal relationship with GOD thank him for his son. Don't just listen to what people have to tell you find out for yourself. When you struggle thank him and when you are blessed thank him. You should listen to this sermon by DR. S. M. Lockridge it's called My King (look it up on the I.net)really listen to his words they are so true it will give you chills of joy.One thing you should really think about that he says is "He’s the loftiest idea in literature. He’s the highest personality in philosophy. He’s the supreme problem in high criticism. " Now if he wasn't real do you think those statements would be so true? There are so many things to say. I will pray that he put true beleivers in your path and that you will feel his spirit within you.

There's only one problem with your question. Buddhism isn't a religion, its a philosophy, and therefore doesn't require worshipping of a god. You may be agnostic or atheist, but the principals of the philosophy have no basis in faith. One doesn't worship the Buddha, instead he is treated as a wise teacher.

Well, Its all up to the Individual. I ,for example, am a disciple of Christ. I acknowledge that he came and died for our sins to lead a path for us to go to heaven, somethin that it unreachable by our own effort. The Bible is the most accurate book there is and its the word of god. I say its the word of God because many of the prophecies it says are fulfilled or are being fulfilled. Something I doubt other religious books Had. Christianity Is the only religion that actually gives you choices, such a receiving or rejecting Christ. Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. Whatever an individual chooses will have spiritual consequences.

I am a Christian but I know a lot of Buddists and they are happy. I think after time your mom will be okay with your decision because she loves you. You should worship who you choose and not what your parents have decided you should worship. I have studied each religion (including reading the Qu'ran) and I chose to be a part of the Baptist Church. You need to study and decide which path would make you happiest

If you really knew about Buddhism, you would know that it's not allowed within the religion to worship Buddha. It's not allowed and you're not supposed to. So if you really want to be a Buddhist, do a little research on what it actually is. I don't care who you worship and I don't care if you worship at all.

... why not stay agnostic? Agnosticism has all the perks of popular religion with very few of the downsides; you can believe whatever it is you want to believe, without getting wrapped up in the dogma. In addition, agnosticism is the most impossible to argue against, as the asertion that the knowledge of god is unknowable is impossible to disprove! Unlike the dogma of various religions or certain interpretations of god, agnosticism allows for free reign.
Give lip service to all three and live your life however things come by.

All gods, goddesses and religions are clearly made up out of whole cloth by human beings, so there's absolutely no point in any kind of religious worship. Focus on the real world, find your own values and follow your own path in life.
