If you kept burning your hand on a hot stove, how many times would it take you to stop touching the stove?
Or, would you be afraid you would hurt the stove's feelings if you stopped touching it?

No. It's impractical.
Muslims could be of any ethnicity. You can't racially profile them. One of the 7/7 London suicide bombers was Jamaican. Richard Reid, the shoe bomber was mixed black-white, but not at all Arab / Pakistani.
Muslims live in North and Subsaharan Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia (there are a significant number in China), South-East Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, the Phillipines), the ex-Soviet Central Asian Republics and in Europe (Albania, Bosnia; Tatarstan, Chechnya and other areas in Russia). Let alone all the Western converts. People from all these regions look completely different.
If you exclude the alienation of specific communities that this would achieve, the more important point is that Racial Profiling in security checks leads to a false sense of security and a greater likelihood of terrorists slipping through (if you start stopping Pakistani / Arab looking people, Al Qaeda will just send converts, Chechens and others).
So, for all these reasons, it's an impractical idea...
And the last reason is that I'm South Asian, though not muslim, and it would annoy the hell out of me if they kept stopping me all the time.

incorrect, my sturdy guy. you may desire to recover from your anger and understand some thing. the only (study: in basic terms) lively terrorists interior the international right this moment are (study: ARE) human beings from the middle East. The FBI exceedingly plenty rounded up each and all of the blond-hair, blue-eyed Tim McVeigh wanna-be's, after 19 April 1995. The some distance remarkable skinhead communities are via-and-super contained. maximum black, white, brown and yellow human beings are comfortable with the racial profiling and are uninterested in being hassled on the airport in basic terms via fact our government is doing the 'comfortable-feely, do no longer choose to offend all and sundry' ingredient. pay attention, right here's a tip for you - take a glance at what the Israelis do at their airports. while replaced into the final time that they had an incident in flight or on the floor? Oh, wait...did I offend you via suggesting that Israelis would desire to have a sturdy theory on a thank you to wrestle terrorism? Soooo sorry...that replaced into probable too ethno-centric to your comfortable eyes. like it or no longer, the terrorists are no longer some African-American grannie (like the single I observed being labored over via the TSA goon squad on the San Diego airport) or some pimply-confronted white teen...it rather is gonna be some 20-some thing guy from the Mideast. it rather is a actuality. it rather is a actuality. it rather is not any longer racial profiling. And if it saves one existence (of all and sundry in any usa of any non secular or political perception) then I, for one, am for it. thank you for permitting me to particular my innovations!

Yes, because radical muslims would kill everyone in America if given the chance.
No offense to peace loving Muslims, who by the way have been guilty by their silence and refusal to condemn the actions of the radicals.
White people suffer from reverse discrimination every day, why should you not be profiled?

i think its wrong, not because it would not help but where would it end ? then is it ok to break in to some ones home with out reason or cause, oh but the cause is your different ! that's not right and we see its not going to stop anything because these groups are using white americans now anyway who join them . also to the person who says that "good " muslims are guilty because of their silence i want to know why you don't turn in criminals of your own ethnic back ground oh could it be that you don't know them all? why assume , also while all seem to have a opinion on muslims being racially profiled african american women can not leave or enter the country with out being strip searched because they fit the profile of someone who is a drug mule mind you they are in business with a laptop and there are no statistics to prove this ,just another reason to be against racial or even religious profiling!

Profiling based on all statistical data related to terrorists is a must if we are going to stop them. This includes race, age, gender, education, national origin, religion, and any other factors which individually are less useful than they are collectively.
I like your analogy about getting burnt.

no,I refuse to put Muslims as the only ones who are responsible for terrorism in the world.
the media wants all of you to believe this, you're a victim of the media.
why can't you read between the lines, and have a mind of your own to discover where the truth is.

Remember there are very many Muslims that are not Arabs. Muslims come in every race and color. How can you tell if someone is a Muslim?

Absolutely.
If it had of been done prior to 911 we would not have had that horrendous thing done here.
So we will profile.
If found to be a bad mame------. Out you go of to the little camp we have down in Gitmo.
It isn't half bad. The screaming is what I miss.
