If we assume the universe was created, then it’s reasonable to assume there was a creator. That’s as far as science has progressed today, but just look how far religion has progressed.

Religion states (fact) there was a creator called God, that God still exists, God also created places called Heaven & Hell, God wrote an instruction book called the Bible, God will banish evil people to Hell, God will send good people who follow the Bible to heaven, that people referred to in the Bible (like Jesus) will return to Earth, and a whole raft of other statements of fact. That’s right, religious fact, not assumptions.

Now tell me truthfully, if science doesn’t even know yet whether the universe was created or not, but religious believers state: “not only was the universe created by God, here’s a whole lot more proof and facts to go with it, what do you think?

With regards to baptisms and/or confirmations....this is supposedly "holy" water used during these ceremonies. Chances are good this is the same water that came out of some tap in some municipality somewhere in this world and landed in a bottle, similiar to what makes it into a bottle of Ozarka.

What's so holy about that? What makes it holy? The fact that a preacher or minister blesses it or what? I've never understood how this could be declared "holy" water?

I always had been gay but straight acting. I'm fully masculine and noone knows about me liking guys. Whereever I am I act normal and discreetly. I see so many people get bated and enflamed over questions of religion and political issues. Many times the originators of these questions are just trying to stir people up and when they get a large amount of answers to these questioners, they just look at it as a job well done. Surly it's good to promote thinking with questions, but it's quite the contrary to try to arouse people's anger by insulting their beliefs.

So I hope you can point out some things that will help people not get involved in answering these questions that create bitterness. Thank you.

If so, does that mean that "right" and "wrong" are not real things? Shooting my question in the foot here, but here's an example: You can only save one---your child or his friend---from falling off the cliff.
