Sick kids, people. Don't cop out. Don't defend him. If you don't know, say you don't know, but ACKNOWLEDGE that this is what he does.

I expect some to answer that the Devil does it, but that's weenie. And if you're saying that God can't stop the Devil from doing it, or won't stop him, that's an aweful God for ya.

Maybe in our mind we created God only to have someone to blame to when things go wrong. Who are you going to blame if He is not true? If He does not exist?
People seldom talk about God's gift when they are enjoying the abundance of graces each is receiving everyday of his life. You could see then basking under the sun by the beach enjoying and frolicking mindless of what lies ahead. Spending the night dancing and drinking and having fun but never stop for a second say thank you God.
But when misery strikes, He immediately pops out and shout, "Why are you doing this to me?" Sure I am depending HIM because you only have been looking at one side of your planet. The world is consist always of two things. Right and wrong, Good and evil, black and white. joy and sorrow, laughter and tears each one should exist to know the difference. How can you say you are happy when you do not know how it is to be sad? How can you say you are alive when have not seen anyone who is dead? Things have to happen and most of the time we do not know why it should. But instead of looking for someone to blame to why don't we look for things that might help lessen those burdens and miseries? It may not be in our lifetime that we see the fruits of that endeavours to come through but at least we did some thing to start with. Although I know many in the past have already taken a giant step.

We are all part of a fallen world. When Adam and Eve committed the first sin, it brought about a curse on the earth. all sickness, disease, and immorality come from the fact that we are part of a fallen creation. It's human kind's fault that these things exist. More importantly, you should think about what will happen to you when you die. When we die God will judge us by His Moral Laws, for example: lying, stealing, using God's name in vain, etc. If you stand before God guilty on judgment day, you will not be accepted into Heaven. The good news is that God is so kind that He provided a way for you to be Saved, and Forgiven. Jesus Christ died on a cross to pay the debt for your sins. You must Repent, which means to turn away from your sins, ask God's forgiveness, and put your complete Trust in Jesus Christ. Only then can you spend and Eternity with God in Heaven.

A different perspective on this is in the Urantia Book in the chapter, "Problems of the Lucifer Rebellion". Although this deals specifically with the after-effects of Lucifer's rebelion, the situations are somewhat similar. I have a first hand experience perspecitve on this subject but anything I expound on that would quickly be lost in arguement and dismissed. That's about all I care to say about that here in a public forum where people come more to hawk their own opinion than look for real answers.

It's very simple - to put doubts in the mind of each person so that when the end of the world comes you will be separated by whether you still love God despite that mess and realize that God has a specific purpose of teaching you something over your troubles (or those of others), or you will go into the camp of people who hate God and will burn in hell. I personally lost both a wife to a brain tumor and a child to a rare disease and I still love God. Remember Jesus doubted God in the garden of Gesthemene. Doubt's ok and normal. Ball's in your court.

God did not make sin or death , it was just logic if you turn away from God, He has no control over you, you are free to choose. Having Children I know with out God I would have a family with much more suffering.

Asking God questions is risky around here, someone is always offended. I don't blame God or thank God, I just accept death and illness as a part of life.

According to the Word of God man made that choice. Man choice to sin and because of that death came about. For the wages of Sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life thru Jesus Christ.

God doesn't cause innocents to suffer, people do. Men and women have been creating disease both intentionally and accidentally for thousands of years.

Why do you blame God for the sins of humans?

Any God is a fairly sadistic bastard by most counts. Generally speaking, should there be a God, then he is paranoid, has an inferiority complex, feels unloved, demands respect, honor, and gratitude, likes to build, destroy, bring to life, and kill, and set up his only son for crucifixion. And he claims it is all because of love.

Sounds like the profile of a domestic violence defendant with anger management problems and substance abuse issues to me...

I think it was albert einstein that said "just as darkness is the absence of light, so evil and suffering is the absence of God" when man disobeyed God he(man) authorized all these evils to befall him, but I take great comfort that he took part in my suffering, i know that 1 day soon it will be perfect and no more suffering,no more pain. where is your hope?
