I think your response is funny. And you know what, when a woman asks this, she's just asking for it. No woman in her right mind would set herself up that way unless she was after attention. Next time tell her her butt is not big.....compared to Barney the dinosaur.

If someone is asking you whether their butt is too big, they obviously want you to say no. Your response should always be in the affirmative. Say something like "it's just the size I like" or "it's perfect for me"
Ego boosts are great, and sometimes people ask because they want one.

The answer to this question is always, ALWAYS "no". No matter what. Even if you have to tell a white lie. Even if she has the biggest booty in the universe. Unless you know for sure that she takes pride in her great big backside, she wants to hear you say "no".
If you follow it with "You are beautiful" then good for you! Extra points.

Why is this so hard? She is asking this out of her as sense of insecurity. It isn't a question about her butt, it's a question about whether or not you are attracted to her. Say "You are absolutely beautiful." "You have a stunning body." "Your butt is the sexiest thing on earth." "You are totally hot(tt)." None of those things will get you in trouble, guaranteed.

Say "come here and lets find out" and extend your hands out and smirk...It might make her laugh and give you enough to distract her. Ive asked such questions and sometimes I dont get the best answer and I insist and then im all upset....but not about my butt or anything physical....
