Can we ditch God and hang out together,

If I am wrong and there is a heaven I would far more like to hang out with regular 'peeps' than a deity.

You will not get to Heaven if you don't get serious and understand that you've broken God's Moral Laws, like: stealing, lying, or using God's name in vain. When you die, God will judge you by these laws, and if you're guilty, you will end up in Hell instead of Heaven. The good news is that God is so kind that He provided a way for us to be forgiven and enter Heaven. Jesus Christ died on a cross to pay the debt for your sins. You MUST ask for God's forgiveness for all of your sins, turn away from your sinning ways, and put your Trust in Jesus Christ. Only then will you be accepted into Heaven. Heaven will be perfect, no tears, no saddness, it will be an awesome place, but God will not allow any evil into Heaven, so make sure you're right with God before you die.

I don't think a boring, stupid, lazy person would have created a world so full of color, beauty, and variety. A God who never wanted to have fun would not have created music, dancing, or wine. Or the giraffe. Or penguins.
The problem is how we use God's gifts, or if we abuse them.

Just because he is no fun would not mean we could not have fun. I would try to give him a sense of humor. Wait till he is sleeping, and dip his finger in warm water, then do the feather/shaving cream trick. Even if there was a god and he sucked, you could have fun with him. In the event that he would not allow for fun, I would want hell (then again that would be hell to me).

If we went to heaven and found that out about god, I would say, "Excuse me, are you sure you're not my husband?"

I don't even have to go there to find out, I know it already. Praising, praising, praising all day long, over and over and over, with everybody else praising and praising and some diety soaking this all up for eternity.
