The first thing I'm told when I'M down is "THIS TOO SHALL PASS" THE First thing I'm told when I'm up is "THIS TOO SHALL PASS" no part of life lasts forever this will pass if you wait and don't do anything stupid while your waiting.
Here is some advice about living with friends
"as you proceed through life following your own path, birds will poop on you, Don't bother to wipe it off"
if you feel Like a fake take the hero's path and be the hero that YOU are. Be yourself. This is a good thing, this is an opportunity this is a growth moment. This is your chance to change. Opportunities show themselves when life seems most challenging. You have been born this is a fact and God does not make mistakes and he don't make Garbage.
You answered your own question. You feel fake Don't be fake anymore Be you. Live from your own center Be a hero
"YOU enter the Forrest at the darkest point where there is no path, where there is a path it was someone Else's path. You are not on your own path. If you follow someone Else's way, you are not going to live up to your potential. The heroic life is living the individual adventure." YOU are on a hero's path and the goal is not yet known YOU will know it one day don't quit until the miracle shows itself to you.

I agree with Jenny. I have been in your shoes several times. First, even though you feel detached from your frIEnds they are there for you. Talk to them and let them help you through. The worst thing you can do is isolate. I personally have learned to try to find joy in the simplest of things, even in a bad situation. (ie. Sitting in the DMV for 3 hours - I made at least 3 people laugh. It's pretty funny when people act like they've won the lottery when they finally get their number called.) And even though you've probably heard it before, just take it one step at a time. It really does work. If you've been feeling this way for a while, it might be better for you to look for professional help. People don't look at somebody seeing a counselor or psychiatrist as meaning that they're "crazy". I've found that many wish they had the courage to look for help when they needed it. You are in my prayers, and wish you the best of luck. Remember, there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

You have a reason to be here though...who knows what may happen in your life. In my family we are always in the wrong place at the wrong time or the right place at the right time...sometimes I don't feel right about staying around;) but I cant say that life isn't "interesting" at least. Sometimes, you just have to go out and try something you always wanted to do, but never tried before, like I'm planing to go to a renassance festival in a few weeks(if I don't move, lol) because I have never been. Everyone should do something special for themselves once in a while, its important:)

I just came from that same feeling. I was miserable. But stay strong. Try to find some meaning in your life, you're gonna need to dig deep and find some new passions. I'm sure you'll overcome this, it just takes time.
Get involved in new things you would have never tried before. Assert yourself more.
Enjoy life! Think about those less fortunate, be happy you're alive - there are kids out there that already have life-threatening diseases and they don't have the chance to really live like we do.
Best of luck.

Oh my, your self-esteem is taking on some bad hits! If we knew more, like your age, life-style, why you feel detached, etc., we may be able to help. But as it is, we can only part with generalization advice.
I hope you pull out of it.

Hey, the important thing is that you have friends. Also, there's gotta be someone in the world that would miss you if you weren't born. Just look for them and once you find them, don't let them go.

make a goal for yourself... maybe train for something. Study for something... master a language, or travel. dont be scared to shake up your life if things arent working, just get out of your comfort level and you will see there is so much more to experience
