my qn actually isnt against religion i am actually saying that god is part of us and we are capable of being extraordinary and that actually makes religion more valid and powerful...
Than seeing it so much as an outside force..
If God is part of us then we all have the potential to do amazing things if we only concetrated on that amazing part of us more often and cultivated it and embraced it thus bringing more love to the world...

I like your question. It's interesting to think about. I believe you are right. God is all things. Even if you don't want to call it God. Call it energy, the light, the Goddess....whatever. But it's real and it's part of everything. It's what really connects us to each other, the universe and all things in it. It's absolute love, perfect and beautiful. You don't need to be a part of some religion to know that you are a spiritual being - just look inside.

First off, the part of you that feels there must be something is the part of you that inherently knows that the world and all of existence is completely irrational and illogical without the existence of some form of Deity.
I would reccomend doing some reading in to what is called "Natural Theology". I think it would be really helpful to you. Natural Theology is not about Christianity, or actually any other reilgious doctrine. It is only about the the fact that nature and all of existence actualy proves the fact of some form of higher existence. Taking things with sound reason and logic, it is better for you to understand the basic existence of a deity before you understand the workings and location of the deity. Natural Theology is used by Christianity, Islam, Buddhism , and every other faith that understands that the universe involves a higher form of existence. It is purely scientific, which is what attracted me to it. My favorite principle is what's called the "Cosmological Kalaam Argument". It was actually discovered by an 1100-1200's Muslim theologian, and has been used as the starting point as all understanding of time, from time-passage, to the origin of time (in a physical sense, infinity is logically impossible in this plane of existence. It can only be expressed as a hypothetical principle). Again, Natural Theology is based on scientific proofs, so no abstract thought is required, which keeps it pure from misinterpretation.

Well, for my own part, I see God as the "creator." Like an artist, His signature is on everything, but also like an artist, his work stands alone.

But I also believe that God indwells His Faithful with the Holy Spirt, and that His power is always available to those who ask.

This, of course, makes me a religious nutcase and weak minded, so I'd ignore this answer if I were you.

I was thinking the same thing today...I don't think that there is a greater spiritual moment than when humans show true love for each other and there is peace.

A story.....we just got our roof redone and 5 Hispanic men knocked it out in 2 days....They not only did an excellent job and left our property very clean, but they offered and did our shed because they had extra supplies, at no extra cost to us....Well, my husband felt in his heart to take them $200.00 a piece today as they were doing their next job. We ok'd it with the owner of the company and we showed up, with cash in hand, and made their day....That is God to us.

Very good point, I love discussion, yea some people believe that God is indeed just a part of us, and that he exists at a molecular level in all of us...all theoretical of course.

I don't know about "do do people", but the Bible presents God as a person.

Have you read it? It's a very GOOD BOOK !
