Ok. i know some people have really harsh opinions on people who smoke marijuana. i wonder who these people are and why?
to me, smoking marijuana is no worse than smoking cigarettes or drinking for that matter. its a natural plant that grows from the ground and the only reason its illegal in north america is because government cannot control it.,, there are medical professionals who try to get this stuff legalized because it helps! its not all that bad so why are ppl so against it and have such bad opinons on people who smoke it!?

Given that sin is non existent before. It's like raising a child and not let him get a taste or know what a chocolate is. Where would he get the idea what a chocolate would look like and that it is sweet?

How is it that people keep saying that its the environment or that a child is abused that turns them gay? They ( the homophobes) are saying that if a male child is molested by a man, they learn to like it, and it turns them day. Meanwhile, out of the other side of their mouth, they say that lesbians are created if a man molests a little girl, because she learns to not trust men. Can someone explain how this works out?

I have asked to atheists in my past questions: Do you have a soul? Many told me No, that they don't believe in the abstract concept of what a soul is. Others have told me "Even if I don't believe there is no God, I am still a spiritual person".

My question is, if you are a spititual person how do you comfort your spirit, what method do you use to get in touch with your spirituality?

Interesting stuff in this month's issue of discover,

The practive of burying the dead may date back 350,000 years, as evidenced by a 45 foot deep pit in Atapuerca, Spain, filled with the fossils of 27 hominids of the species Homo heidelbegensis, apossible ancestor of Neaderthals, and modern humans.

To be "fair"; on page 15 is the following:
Texas archaeologists claim they may have located the Remains of Noah's Ark in the Elburz Mountains of Iran. The location and size of the structure match biblical descriptions.

Is there anything more addicting then learning about the world around us?

Someone I know has lung cancer and he is contemplating to go for psychic surgery as modern science cannot cure him. He has cancer on 3/4 of his lungs, radition, chemo, surgery did not work. He is planning to go to Philippines to go for psychic/spiritual surgery in Oct. I'm very skeptical of this type of surgery that claims to heal all ailments without going under the knief and using spirits.

Can anyone tell me your views and opinions? Has anyone gone through psychic surgery before or knows anyone who has?

Please help, I am concerned about my friend!

Case in point: (I'm black)

I work in a college where there are a diversity of races. When ever I have to go to another office to get something taken care of and it just so happens that I get a black person who has to deal with me and what ever needs to be taken care of I get this "attitude" from him/her like I am wasting their time or something, but you let a white person or some other race come and ask them the same thing and the attitude changes to "nice!" and accomodating. Same thing happens if I go to a grocery store, a mall or anything place that services you.
Why is that? I respect everybody and don't put an "attitude" on anyone like that.
What I'm asking for is the same respect that a black person will give a white person. I'm black too and don't understand this biasness.
