Yes. In India They Have A Prayer Done Before Meals Which Says.
"Annam Param Brahman"
It means Food Is God.
In Sanskrit There is A Verse which says "Raso Vai Sah" It means Taste is a nature of God. Or You can know god through Taste.

yes, God has provided food as a healing process also not only for eating pleasures. Our bodies need nutrition to survive, however take for example a papaya. The enzymes are good, excellent healing uses for an upset stomach or to prevent digestive problems.

I'm currently in school for Naturopathy as an alternative medicine and use these practices in my everyday life.
