It seems many non-muslims seem to be under the impression that if a muslim comes in contact with pork, they will not go to Heaven?

Yes, Muslims believe that pork is an unclean animal. But "burying them in pig blood", or launching "pork rinds" at them before some misdirected Islamic-like terrorist attempts to blow us all to bits is not going to prevent them from reaching Paradise. (nor enjoying the 70 virgins so many non-muslims seem to believe are waiting for Islamic martyrs)

Does our ignorance have no bounds? Is it just easier for us to demonize those we do not know about and thereby suggest remedies that are closer to fighting off vampires than actual solutions to our current differences?

Our President likes to refer to an "Axis of Evil", yet where does Christ teach us to declare a population or society as evil? Isn't it possible our actions as a nation be characterized as evil to others?

Are we becoming blind sheep, just accepting the poisoned grain our masters feed us?

God seeks people whose hearts are pierced by their own sins as well as the sins of their neighbors and their society-and who intercede for the Father to pour out his overwhelming mercy. They are the ones whom God uses as instruments of healing and His mercy. Are you making yourself available? Will you answer His call? I am trying, who will go with me?

Please give me your opinions and why you have those opinions regarding the following five most controversial civil topics in the USA:

1. The Death Penalty

2. Gay Marriage

3. Abortion

4. The Right to Bear Arms

5. Legalizing Marihuana

We once did a seminar discussion over these topics in a University summer camp I went to, and it got very heated. It was interesting to listen to all the different opinions.

I know what I consider to be true on this subject. I am simply interrested in what others think. I won't say what I think till the end because I don't want to influence the answers.

If a screen is cracked due to being hit by something, is it correct english to say it has deveopled a fault? If something is instantly broken, can the word "develop" be used to refer to that second that it took to break it? I can understand that a crack develops in a rock, naturally and over time. If a lens is broken, because it was dropped, or scratched, can it be said that it developed a fault? Thank you.

I understand that when a person who speaks spanish and english sees someone of Spanish-speaking decent you may feel more comfortable speaking spanish with that person. I'm cool with that. But when you want to tell someone (who speaks spanish AND english) something in spanish in an english-speaking setting or crowd; (example: I am one of three people you are talking to, and I do not speak spanish) I might say "What did you just say?" and you say, "Oh nothing." Why couldn't you just say that "nothing" in English?

I worked in retail in a town heavily populated with Indian immigrants. MANY of them, not all, insisted on getting discounts, and often tried to trick me into thinking I'd offered them one. Is this part of their culture? It put me on the spot several times and made me uncomfortable. I was just an employee and had no authority to give discounts, but they often INSISTED.

We go to school for a major part of our lives, in an effort to increase our productivity. Then we get out into the real world make money and work like mad to buy what we want and then we have the added pressure to maintain it. Thus the cycle is a never ending cycle of servitude and security the servitude from the boss "aka" slave master and security from his resources which is money. The system is just revised slavery. You either work make
the money or starve and live on the streets.

It was like we were from other worlds...I have never talked about so many secular things in my life....It was strange though to....the more he blocked out my faith...the more it seemed void of life all around us...all things were finite...and fading away...I became aware of the dying of humanity around me....to hope only in this life is frightening...and dims the light of love.... How can I deal with him tomorrow ?

For example, I have older straight friends and family members who say "It must be so hard to be gay" or "I support you but it must be so difficult to be a member of a 'community' where the rest of the world hates you". Maybe I live in a bubble but I have not yet experienced discrimination, have never been the victim of a hate crime, etc. My feeling is that people either like me or they don't. Half the time I forget that I am gay. It is so odd to me that straight people think that they know anything about gay life. We certainly don't have a community and being gay is fine by me.

I am a nurse, and I live in Jones Co. MS. Besides the Gulf Coast and New Orleans our county was the hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina. Most of the people that I have been involved with since this disaster, whether through my work as a nurse, or as a victim of the hurricane receiving assistance, have professed a feeling of gratefulness that God was with them and helped them survive. I have seen many responses on this site to questions about why does God allow this or that where people have cited Katrina as something that was his fault. How do you, if you did not go through it, have the nerve to blame God for what happened to us when the majority of us who did go through it don't feel that way?
