Yes, a lot of dietary requirements can be satisfied by eating Kosher, BUT it's not the ideal. If there is halaal food easily available then it's recommended you go for that instead.

It depends how strict you are on a personal level (my sister and her husband in San Francisco make an effort to drive out to a halaal butchery quite a distance from their home to stock up while their muslim friends/colleagues don't bother). And if they didn't have halaal meat, they would stick only to seafood or vegetarian.

In the US, I found that some imams said it was ok to eat meat from butcheries run by people of the Book (i.e. Muslims, Christians and Jews) so a lot of muslims took this as a general rule and didn't bother with being so strict about buying halaal meat even though it was easily available.

I know that in Islam, if you cannot find halaal food at ALL then it's ok to eat food that isn't halaal (including pork if it's a matter of survival).

in jewish scriptures, the meat is eatable only when the animal is
slayed according to a particular method , same practice is followed
in islam.so according to this, muslims can eat kosher food.
also, quran allows muslims to eat the food which people of the book
offer (includes jews and christians), so muslims can ear kosher food without any hesitation.
