Being judged on your deeds and works, or being judged on the fact whether or not you let Jesus into your heart?

I read a passage in the bible one day about not forcing religion down someone's throat. Can anyone share that verse with me? It said something to the effect of God doesn't want us to force the word of God on someone that doesn't want to hear it.

Shouldn't it just be one sentance, Hi this is God and Jesus died for your sins and if you belief this I will reward you and if you don't then I will punish you.

The rest of it is subject to interpretation, and we don't follow it anymore. Example is Exodus 21:20-21. We don't allow people to beat their slaves anymore. So we don't need it anymore do we? And Leviticus 11:9-12, saying shrimp eating is an abomination, I guess we don't need that anymore.

Do we need a sentance for who doesn't get into heaven, say we include after my sentance 1 Corinthians 6:9, or Rev 22:15 where it says dogs don't get in.

What do you think?

My 22 month old son has gone to his fathers today to stay over night(we are no longer together) so am having a Bridget Jones sort of day.Intended to be doing my cleaning ,scrubbing the stairs that kind of thing but really can't be arsed so instead am eating pringles and dip, chocolate cookies and hot chocolate with marshmallows, listening to Alanis Morrisette with my duvet wrapped round me whilst the housework is undone kind of wallowing. Is this about as cliched as it gets?Or is this good use of "me" time?

Quran openly warn Muslims about Christians and Jews and remind them that they are not trustworthy for friendship. When the opression of Mecca,s majority became unbearable ,Mohamod guided his 80-companions to go to Habsha(Ethopia),which was a Christian land. So,how come Mohamod ignored the warning of God and trusted a Christian land to be more than a friend?

Uneducated numbnuts, who get pregnant at the age of 11, end up on the doll (state benefit)....they don't encourage their children to achieve anything in life. They turn out to be criminals but the governments send them to Disneyland because they had a 'hard upbringing'...they know no consequences so they carry on behaving like Neanderthals. I'm fed-up of seeing people like that everywhere I go, is there no-one left with any pride?....your thoughts please....

I know you're as young as you feel but sometimes it really hits "gee I feel old" For me it was when some 20something at work refered to the Rolling Stones as "some old guys that my Dad listens to". Anything really hit you like that?

When Jesus told his disciples they would be with him, he was speaking to them as a special group--not to mankind in general. No one in the Bible was recorded to have gone to heaven--except Jesus. So, why make the exception as a rule?

We are just pieces in a game of chess between God and the Devil. The board is the earth and our lives are results of their moves. When we die we just go back in the box to await for the next game.

I was once told this analogy what do you think of it?

The prophecy is that the 7th Angel/Prophet will be the one who comes at the end time and 'finishes the mystery of God'. Rev. 10:7 EVERY religon has prophecies about end time - yet there is only one Seventh Angel. Could it be that each religion actually is sent by One God and there was a great mystery about God and His Plan until this 7th Angel/Prophet?

Who is that 7th Angel? and what does He reveal?

How can we learn about people who are different from ourselves? How can I tell when a particular thing I hear is a BS stereotype, a statistical fact for which there may be complex explanations, or "just a part of our culture?"
