My 22 month old son has gone to his fathers today to stay over night(we are no longer together) so am having a Bridget Jones sort of day.Intended to be doing my cleaning ,scrubbing the stairs that kind of thing but really can't be arsed so instead am eating pringles and dip,chocolate cookies and hot chocolate with marshmallows,listening to Alanis Morrisette with my duvet wrapped round me whilst the housework is undone kind of wallowing.Is this about as cliched as it gets?Or is this good use of "me" time?

Always put off till tomorrow what you can't be bothered with today, life is far too short as it is and who cares what your house looks like, you enjoy your Bridget Jones day and pass me some of those marshmallows so I can put some in my hot chocolate.

Everyday is a Bridget Jones day for me but from what you say it sounds like your having an ace time, sod the housework you deserve a day off enjoy!get out your hairbrush and you sing out loud into the mirror. Have a good day.

i decided to give the house a once over and attack my huge pile of ironing while my partner and 4 month old baby are having a nap. So i put some dishes in to soak and thought I'd come on here - see if i had any best answers.............that was an hour ago, i reckon my dishes are more than ready now but i cannot be asked!
I need some good me tI'me like you, but i don't appreciate it when i got stuff to do, just makes me feel guilty, and the feelings getting worse as i type! im off now, wish me luck!......

yes. Definitely a good use of "me" time. Sometimes, you just need a lazy day. My Bridget Jones kind of day was yesterday...when nothing goes right and the more I try, the more I screw it all up...and nothing is coming together as it should be.

The past two weeks have been bridget jones weeks for me...My boyfriend broke up with me, I found out I'm preganant, everything's going wrong...I just hope that it'll all work itself out in the end...like in the films...But hey, sounds like ur having one of the good days...go for it, make the most of it and enjoy...just don't clean...relax!!

It depends on how stressed out you are going to be later when the "to-do" list isn't complete. It doesn't hurt to slow down and chill.

it probably isn't making benefitting you. it is probably just adding on the pounds... but sometimes we just need a day off. hope your day goes better!
