It doesn't matter, whether you are white, black, hispanic or oriental, we are all derived from a common ancestor. Instead, why don't we use the word community to distinguish us. It's less emotionally charged. Humanity must realise that we shouldn't label different groups of people as if they are aliens!!!

The only reason why we look different on the outside is because of the environmental changes we experienced when we left Africa. Can't people grasp that SIMPLE concept!!

I think that some of the "statistics" we hear are merely there to scare us. For example, we've all heard that "most shark attacks occur in three feet of water". So there are people who may actually avoid going to the beach, JUST for that reason.
There are millions of people, right this minute, at beaches all over the world. Guess what? Most of them are in about three feet of water! Because that's how deep the water is when you're near the beach...how many casual swimmers swim out to where the water is really deep?
The fact is, there are vastly more injuries and deaths (at the beach) from other sources than sharks. More people require sutures for seashell cuts than for shark bites! More people are treated in hospitals for sunburn than for shark injuries, and vastly more deaths occur at the beach as a result of drowning or cardiac arrest than from shark attacks.
The "statistic" is essentially true, but still meaningless. What others can you think of?

My last fiance' was F-to-M & I felt very secure in the fact we knew what each other were going thru. However we had different standards of living (myself mid-class city girl) & we just couldn't get along. He wanted me to have the traditional female roles, which is what I wanted, but it was difficult being that we were both in are early 20's.

I am now 29 & haven't been with anyone since we split, both at 23. Are there any other young passible F-to-M out there?? Friendship is also fine. I just want to connect to others who share the same.

If so, how do you look them in the face, knowing you think that their just deserts is eternal damnation?

My BF and I were debating this. He says it is insulting to the restaurant to walk out without ordering if we go to a place for the first time and discover it's very pricey. Sometimes it's hard to tell what it will be like until we go inside. I think it's okay to be honest with the server and just say it's more expensive than we budgeted for. What do you think? What is the correct ettiquette, if the menu is not posted at the door?

I admit to doing a little labelling myself,and most often regret this.When you have patience to listen, you find everyone has a plus and even when ignorant or clueless can be corrected and put on the right pass,without you demonstrating your superiority. Good teachers worth their price know this!

Please understand I do not mean this to belittle anyone. I have recently lost someone dear to me and I lean heavily on God and my faith during this loss. I am just curious as a result as to where if anywhere athesits find comfort. No Prosthelyzing. Just once, I'd like to have an open religious discussion without trying to be saved. Please keep your answers relevant to the question.

No, I'm not attacking Christianity, I just honestly want to know. I have a Christian friend and during a discussion she stated that nowhere in the bible did it discuss free will or tolerance for others. That kind of seemed contradictory to what I know of Christianity. Looking for open discussion from either side of the issue for my own education.
