I don't think South Indian muslim are more fairer. There are many fairer people regardless the case in South India. If you look at Hindu Brahmins, you'll understand that. In Contrary, North Indian muslim, especially, in Gujrat and UP states are exteremly fairer than other caste people. Considering the state of Kerala- a south Indian state- Only North side more people are whiter regardless the relgion, I think it is has somewhat connection with the climate.

They wear a burkha most of the time out in the sun and also don't spend much time outdoors.So they are generally fairer, and mostly pretty ;).
