It's not about ethics. If it's a new friend and they ask, you can tell them. Honestly, I think society as a whole is introducing sex as a topic a little too often. If it's a friend that you want as a boyfriend...... cross that bridge when you get there..... I was a virgin for a loooooong time. I didn't bring it up if no one else did, because my virginity didn't make me who I was. I didn't need anyone to validate my choice.
