You have made several general assertions. In a country where people lack health care---many sick don't go to the doctors. In a society where our laws are geared more to making sure the "culprits" rights are maintained at all time----many thieves don't go to jail. Following that line of thinking I must tell you that you have misrepresented the "church."

Christians know that "church" is actually those who go into the building. It has nothing to do with the building itself. And yes, as the "church" I am a sinner. But praise God, His gift of Christ and Christ's gift of atonement will get me further into His kingdom than anything else I do. Now, if you mean by your question---do only "sinners" (former worldly folks) now "the church" gather together, the answer would be yes. And we keep inviting more sinners to our meetings. It is where the saints meet. Forsaking not the assembling of ourselves together as some are inclined to do.

And as far as the sick and thieves---perhaps one day they will get the attention they so richly deserve. Thanks for asking-----

I use to, but about, 10 years ago, something happened at my church that has totally turned me off of churches, after all they are just religions, and a preacher is only human. But I can't go to a church where the preacher doesn't try harder than others to follow God's example, he of all should be more Christ like because he was supposedly called to that vocation. Now I worship God in my home. I read my Bible, and have a personal rapport with Him.

Christians don't have to go to church. Christ never said anything about it. Christians decided to organize. Some swear by Paul's advice not to give up meeting with other saints and some don't worry about Paul's church letters.

If you make enough rules, everyone's a sinner.

For instance, you are not allowed to wear clothing made of more than one type of material (so no cotton-poly blends, I'm afraid), and women have to sacrifice two turtledoves after menstruation before they're allowed back on holy ground.

Just as hospitals and jails have visitors, those who go to church probably only do so during weekends when they have sinned on weekdays, otherwise they go to parties and live life.
