I read a passage in the bible one day about not forcing religion down someone's throat. Can anyone share that verse with me? It said something to the effect of God doesn't want us to force the word of God on someone that doesn't want to hear it.

The Jews did not want to hear what Paul and Barnabas had to say. The Jews threw them out. Paul and Barnabas brushed the dust from their feet and moved on. This is the short version.

Acts 13:49  And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.
50  But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.
51  But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

GOD bless

And if none of these are what you're looking for, try a concordance. The one at http://bible.crosswalk.com/ is fairly good. If you can remember any specific word from the verse you're looking for, type it in and look it up. You can probably narrow your search down to just the Gospels, or the New Testament at most.

Just because someone share the word of God with someone, first of all the person who is sharing the word of God is obeying God. Because Gud wants us all to share His word with others.

But sharing the word of God with others is not forcing it on them. They can either by their own choice take it or leave it.

IF someone does not accept the word of God then this is what that person who is sharing it has to do.

Luke 9:5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

Jesus said not to cast your pearls among the swine. In other words, don't waste our time spreading the gospel or helpful advice to those who refuse it, mock it and hate it.
