We are all sinners according to the bible. So none can be like God. God does not make mistakes. We are all capable of being forgiven, so the bible doesn't prevent murder, rape, child abuse, etc... Then I ask, can you see how awful goodness is?

There are 164 verses in the Quran about Jihad.

"The Quran, by the way, teaches that Muslims are never to initiate war. But, for example, Muslims are supposed to offer non-Muslims an opportunity to embrace Islam. If the non-Muslims refuse, the Muslim thinking is that they have commited aggression against Allah and Islam. Therefore, the Muslim is allowed to fight these aggressors against Allah and Islam until they become Muslims or are killed.

Perhaps the greatest proof that Islam is not a religion of peace is the interpretion of Quran 4:89 that says if anyone wants to leave Islam (turns renegade) he is to be put to death. This makes it the religion of fear, not peace." www.answering-islam.org

first off I'm an agnostic, let's look at some of the good things religious people do like feed the poor, help people with drug problems, give people shelter, and give people clothing. Granted you don't have to be religious to do good deeds as I do alot of volunteer work myself, some religions really promote social problems. Can't we forgive them for pushing their ideas on us if they do alot to benefit humanity?

No matter what religion you follow how many truly loves god ,what i mean is when you pray or connect to universal energy you feel love for our creator thats overwhelming and complete, Do you trust that he is with us at every moment in this world and even if you dont understand why things are the way they are you know there is a plan bigger than we can understand .

How many people have lived believing in this? How many people will continue to believe in this? When will it all have meaning? Especially, in a world without end.

I once asked "What food do you eat almost everyday?" and they posted a bunch of crap that isn't real food.

Don't you have like an official dish that you can consider your own? Almost everything you eat has been brought by immigrants except the damn hamburgers you eat.

Would you like it if Bush referred to the Christians that blow up abortion clinics and shoot doctors as "Christian-fascist"? What if the news constantly referred to members of the KKK as "Christian-fascist"? Can you not see how the term "Islamofascist" is offensive to normal law abiding American Muslims? They deny that these terrorist represent their religion just like some Christians attempt to claim that the KKK doesn't represent theirs. Something to think about.

Peace, shalom, and salaam, out.

Ok, for example: I knew this guy who believed in God but he didn't really practice religion or attend services or anything. He was a drugatic and an alcoholic and got put into a rehab center by his parents (he was only 17) and the court that was a christian rehab center. But when he got there, they wanted him to give up everything that wasn't worshipping God, music for example. Now, he loved music more than anything...The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Tom Petty and so on. He played guitar and wrote lyrics all the time and flatly refused to give it up, which I don't blame him. So, he acted up and got sentenced to jail and 20 years later he died of a drug overdose. Do you think that maybe if these people weren't being so demanding this wouldn't have happened? I think so. I know many preachers who preach hellfire sermons and if you do anything ungodly (like listen to music that isn't like the Gaithers or whatever) you'll go to hell. I think this is the wrong way to go about it.......

Please visit the site below and send a postcard to President Bush. These helpless people are being raped, tortured, murdered, and displaced by a group known as Janjaweed which is financially backed by the government of Sudan. This is something I am very passionate about and I urge you to send the postcard. If you feel the need to educate yourself futher before taking action, please search through the site. The stories are heart wrenching!

Thanks to all those who take action!

Also, if you have some spare time, try to play this game. It may give you a feel for what life is like for the millions of displaced people in Sudan. The objective is to keep the refugee's in the camp for 7 days. It is not as easy as it seems!

Hello All

i was wondering if it was best to meditate with perfect silence, to have some noise(such as a cd with waves crashing or rain falling), or is it all just a matter of personal preferance?
